Am I the only Bedeau fan? :'(

I think on his day he could tear people apart and grab some goals and some crucial assists.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Am I the only David Caldwell fan? Despite his poor yellow/red card record that guy was brilliant for us.

Since 1997/98, although I was only 10 then so it's a bit skewed.

David Graham ... Rodney Jack

Jo Kuffour ... Alex Russell ... Jason Fowler ... Chris Zebroski

Adam Smith ... Guy Branston ... Wayne Thomas ... Liam Rosenior

Would agree with your team too, started supporting Torquay in 2001. I think I would add Tom Kelly on the bench though, as we share the same name, it's only fair!! :~D

Don't know who I would take out though.......

Never rated Buster Phillips so surprised he's made a few line-ups!

------------------Southall-----------------------

---------Woods---Moore----Thomas----------

Gurney-----------------------------------Gibbs

-------Russell---Greavsie---Fowler---------

--------------Jack------Graham---------------

Feel guilty for leaving out Hilly, but he'd get probably get plenty of games in place of the injury-plagued Fowler.

I assumed no loanee's? Otherwise Jason Roberts would have been up front alongside DG.

Anyone else old enough to remember Alan Little kicking lumps out of people in midfield, or the sublime skills of Colin Anderson or Donal Murphy (1st spell) ?

GK - Martin Rice. Absolute legend, immortalised by that 4-1 home defeat preseason to Bristol Rovers

RB - Michael Brough. Real mainstay, worked hard, 1st XI regular

CB - Kieran Charnock. Non stop worker, decision making one of the best I have ever seen.

CB - Lee Hodges. When he played CB, he was graceful, fast thinking, and an honour to watch.

LB - Lathaniel Rowe Turner. Solid defender, not known to make mistakes

RM - Tristan Plummer. One of the most solid, but talented players ever to have pulled on a yellow shirt.

CM - Tyrone Thompson. Quality player, always committed, never backed out of a challenge, and always got them right

CM - Matt Hockley. Unique talent. Amazing vision. Feet like Bambi.

LM - Jake Thomson. Loyal, held Torquay fans in his heart.

ST - Iyseden Christie. Living legend, secured many goals and points for us.

ST - Jody Banim - TheOne. TheOnly...

hahaha. Beautiful!

Got to add the manager of this team, just for the sheer tactical know-how. Lubos Kubik.

Reading through other peoples posts certainly makes me realise how many really good players I had forgotten when I compiled my list, and definitely makes me realise as well just how many great players have played for Torquay United over the years. Nobody has mentioned Stanley Matthews, the England and Blackpool legend, who guested for Torquay in a floodlit friendly in the 1950's. Trojan at least should remember it!! ;-)
