It's very pleasing when you get to hear what he has to say, he's said all the right things that us as fans want to here and I really do hope he does well.

Did anyone else see how dirty the family stand seats were while watching the ITV interview?

More open honesty there in a few minutes than Buckle showed in 4 years.

They'll remain dirty until this transitional season is over. It is imperative that all elements of the club remain mediocre until then.

=D Exactly. One step at a time. If we have clean seats, people's expectations will get out of control!

He definitely likes the word 'ethos', doesn't he?

Rather his word be ethos, than "overachievement" or "shoestring budget"

If you think the seats are dirty - take a look in the Popside bogs!

"It's not a top 8 budget, but it's certainly not a bottom 8 budget either..."

Hmm. If the reports on this website are to be believed, we will have less money this year than last, or at least we wont have any more, in the playing budget.

If our budget is pretty much mid-tableas Mr Ling supposes, I find it incredibly annoying, frustrating and nauseating that I was led to believe by our previous manager that we had practically no money and a budget that would be more akin to fighting relegation than pushing for promotion.

If we did indeed have a mid-table budget, I fail to see how scraping into the play-offs on the last day is a "massive over-achievement". It's certainly doing well, but its not exactly wining the league either!

I completely agree with SG, seems to be more cards on the table with Ling than there ever was with Buckle.

So far from what he's saying its sounding like a decent appointment. Looking forward to seeing who he brings in and how we fair in the first few games of the season.

Came across pretty well in the interview, definitely willing to give him time but I think a couple of good signings will be needed to give some of the doomsayers a bit more confidence.
