Bristol Rovers at home would be truly epic, you'd have to say.

But only if we muller them. It would totally suck if we lost.

Don't know what people think of this but someone has posted (on one of the football league forums) what they believe to be the opening two games of the season. This could be a load of cods wallop but he claims from a friend who works with the Football league that we will play Crawley at home opening day, followed by a trip up to Rotherham.

Of all the teams to play first, I hope it isn't that s*ithole of a club!!! :@

I would like a first game at home don't really mind who against to be honest just want to be at home first game now we've got the saints away on the following weekday (which I'm hopefully planning to go to :) :) ) And then a good away day on the following Saturday I think that would be a pretty good start to the season :)

Hopefully a home game, as crowds are always bigger on the opening day. A big side who'll bring extra fans but have an awful team would be ideal.

They'll sell out any time of year. On the opening day any big side that don't quite sell out but bring a big following would be perfect.

There usually almost always wrong and they just guess and say that so they are taken little seriously its all guesswork though.

Get Accrington away out of the way early doors, while their pitch is resembles a manicured lawn(!) rather than a ploughed field.....

Today's the day, hoping for a home fixture first, if not then a reasonably close away game to me. Have a feeling it's gonna be Crawley or Crewe Alex.

Just a note, I don't think this site is allowed to post the whole fixture list, as the fixtures are copyrighted, as you all probably know. You can put a link to the BBC/SKY/TUFC website which has the full list, but please can nobody copy and paste the whole thing, or it'll probably have to be removed.

Cheers.

For me I'd like a fairly low-key home game. By that I mean not someone like Argyle, Rovers, Swindon or Crawley but a Macclesfield or a Barnet. I think it is vital we get a good start under Ling and can get some points on the board early doors. At this stage I don't think it would be helpful to play someone like Rovers or Crawley where the off-field factors will add too many unhelpful distractions.
