He did get stabbed in the legs though..bc-gull wrote:Davenport? The one who is prem quality. I doubt it.

Hes playing non league at moment part time. Trying to get into a league club for next season, doubt a prem or championship club would take a risk on him to be honest.

Rumer, this is your third thread of this nature.
None of us, not one, not a single, solitary individual will object to you doing such a thing, and if they do, they'll have some serious explaining to do, but can I make a request/suggestion which will increase the appeal of these threads tenfold?
Rather than just tossing names into the ring, which, really, is a little bit pointless, we can all make wild guesses at players, list the names, but also give some justification to their inclusion on your list.
Entirely up to you, but I bet you'll be better off adopting my approach than rejecting it.
Matt.

Quite a few of them are on trial with sides in league 1 and a few in league 2. Obviously not always mean there going to sign for them.
Honestly though, none of them will end up at Torquay. (could be wrong) but Ling has players in mind and i can seeing any of them sorry.
(edit i would like to see a few on that list like Suker here but really cant see it)

Mckenzie would be a great signing but probably well out of our salary range, seen him play plenty of times for Cov although I think he is in the poop with the law at present.
ps, fits Lings requirements though, left wing and striker.
Davenport was pure class, a good prospect for a top prem side, until he did his level best to flush it all down the pan.

Eric Obinna LOL. Utter mince when he was at Reading a few years ago, what even happened to him?
if you want a more realistic suggestion how about Simon Russell? A winger from Cambridge who Ling signed and turned into a class act for them according to my Cambridge mate, apparently he's out of contract and the set deadline to sign a new one by them has passed.

I'm not sure that Russell would fancy moving even further away from his native Hull.
I'd avoid Parkinson and Partridge like the plague though.

Simon Russell, intresting you mention that name. He is a winger and Ling is a big fan of him.
Maybe just maybe something could happen if Ling works his magic. Hes bound to be intrested if he signed him back along and has impressed massively.

I've heard a rumour that him and Ling didn't get on too well near the end of Ling's awful tenure at the Abbey.
I'd be very surprised if he did rock up at Plainmoor to be honest, as it's fairly common knowledge that he wants to move back closer to home.

He might do yeah, but theres been many players who want to move closer to home. Carayol wanted to go back to london, signed for lincon.TCP wrote:I've heard a rumour that him and Ling didn't get on too well near the end of Ling's awful tenure at the Abbey.

Bayo wanted to go to london, went to swansea.
Tevez wants to go back home, prob end up in spain.
Funny old game football, suprising whats money can do. If im honest TCP i heard his name being mentioned few days ago, doesnt mean he will sign but i believe they expressed an intrest, but the so have a few other clubs. One of them being york.
There's absolutely 0% chance of him returning to York.
He's a good player, but don't get me wrong, he's no world beater and there's plenty of better wide players even in the BSBP.

Only saying there intrested, an old work mate is on the coaching staff up there and i was told they have expressed an intrest. Spoose theres no harm in trying.TCP wrote:There's absolutely 0% chance of him returning to York.
