I've been watching Rovers for almost 30 years and have seen 2 promotions and 3 relegations, so in other words very little success.
Anything positive this guy can bring to the table would be worth it, if he wins promotion in his first season then he has done what he was brought here for, anything else is a bonus.
Players use clubs like ours as stepping stones and nothing bad gets said about them, so why not managers?? They have careers too and want to aim as high as possible.
I watched them in their first friendly last night, won 5-1 against local non-league opposition but very promising.
