You're not the only one, Ems, Farnborough is no where near Kent either.

Nice to see a profile on the OS of our youth players. Hopefully one of them, if not more hopefully, can make the step up in future to professional league football. Been a while since Torquay developed a player who has gone on to play a significant amount of games for the club or make it as a pro footballer. Halpin looks like he could for us, while Yeoman, Palmer and Spear have done enough to earn contracts so have at least been given an opportunity to shine.
I think the last player to come through the ranks and play a lot of games for us is probably Matt Hockley, although Mike Williamson obviously came up through and has gone onto have an excellent career so far. One we probably missed out on several years ago was Luke Guttridge, who has had a decent lower league career.
I hope the OS keeps us better updated than before about how well these lads perform

Kudi played CM against Bristol City alongside O'Kane. Looked a tidy player and already has a physical presence about him.
Like goalkeeper Sam Shulberg's weakness - long-distance running!
Is Harrop still around or did he follow Buckle up the road?

How old does Kudi look? Experience says you can normally add at least 2 or 3 years on to the age of a Nigerian footballer.tommyg wrote:Kudi played CM against Bristol City alongside O'Kane. Looked a tidy player and already has a physical presence about him.

Could Quinn be a potential backup for Nicholson ?

Funny you should say that! He certainly doesn't look 18 physically and put himself around a bit. Took out a Bristol player which they were complaining about.PhilGull wrote: How old does Kudi look? Experience says you can normally add at least 2 or 3 years on to the age of a Nigerian footballer.
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.
There is also this list on the OS, http://www.torquayunited.com/page/Youth ... 45,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Not sure how up to date it is mind!Bloggy wrote:Didn't see Nick Milton on the list but he played for us against Tivvy!?
Has he gone or is he stepping up to a 1st year pro?
It'll be the Farnborough in Kent, not the one on Hants/Surrey border they are talking about.ferrarilover wrote:You're not the only one, Ems, Farnborough is no where near Kent either.
