Rovers Travel Help

Post by tufcbrett »

I heard that the travel club this season wont pick up from Taunton. This will casue me trouble as i wouldnt be able to get to any of the stops.
Coming from Taunton will be difficult, and the train is not cheap.

Anyone got any ideas or know anything within the trave club.

Thanks Brett

Are you kidding? Just a quick look on the train line showed train prices at £8 to Bristol Parkway (seems to be the closest to the ground).

I'd be delighted if my trip there is that cheap!

There was one that got you there for about 12:30 for £7.50 - book it before it gets too expensive!

EDIT: And I'll expect a pre-match beer for finding you cheap tickets too! :-D

Just realised I only did a single but £11 seems to stand up.

... and lost my pre-match beer in the process!

The you need to add Bristol taxi prices to and from the ground. This could end up costing abit.

I'll be aiming to get there for around 12:30-1ish, by the looks of routeplanner it would be an easy detour to pick you up from the station.

Looks like the No 73 bus leaves Parkway 3 times an hour for Filton. Use that as its probably cheaper :)

What did he say? Don't remember anything particularly bad about his post (unless he edited it).

Nothing offensive, but I don't want to end up moving this thread across to the Banter Board like many others recently.
