Scotland vs Faroe Islands

Post by Gulliball »

Scotland are playing the Faroe Islands next Tuesday (16th) in Aberdeen, so I've decided to pop along. Now that I'm living here, I really should tick the ground off, and I don't fancy an SPL game. Plus it's only £15 to sit right on the half way line, and who knows, maybe I'll get to see an upset (insert your own joke here :) :) )

Well, it's tonight. The Scotland line-up will be:

Craig Gordon

Phil Bardsley - Steven Caldwell - Danny Wilson - Stephen Crainey

Barry Bannan- Darren Fletcher - Charlie Adam - Kris Commons

Jamie Mackie - Shaun Maloney

A few decent players there, but I'm just looking forward to watching a live game for the first time in ages. First international game too, and a new ground.

Nick - Aberdeen are shockingly awful this season - they could be in real trouble of relegation.

Hope you enjoyed the game - 3-0 wasn't it? Nothing beats live football. I love the way exiled fans are so widely spread and we can all meet up on here!

Yeah, it was a pretty good game, and as you say it was just great to watch a live game for the first time in months. The Scotland squad had some pretty decent names, and based on their performances on the night and their reputations, I think Danny Wilson (Liverpool) and Barry Bannan (Villa) will be big stars in the future. Although Jamie Mackie was one of the best players on the pitch!

you were lucky to catch him at the right time - terrible news about his double broken leg - sounds painful :(
