No intent to injure whatsoever, peeved you may be but your reactions are unjustified. Hazell went down and landed badly. If you want to discuss 'attacks' on opposition players go back to your forum and discuss Grandison's 'tackle' on Robinson last season. There may have been no injury (luckily) but the intent was there and many of your own supporters celebrated it.

Those in glass houses...

All im going to say is Gradisons hack last season was a lot worse. That was a straight red where as Howes was a 2nd yellow.

Stupid lack of discipline from Howe, and the Shrewsbury bloke deserves a big, grovelling, apology. But thuggish? No chance.

Crikey, from the outrage by the Shrews fans, I was expecting to see an appalling hack, or something, and certainly not that momentarily display of frustration and ill-discipline. It was clumsy and stupid, but there's no way it was deliberate. I hope Hazell recovers quickly.

Does anyone know of a link to the video footage of that Grandison challenge on Jakey, love to compare the two incidents.

Thanks mcgull1, looking at that vid, its clear which incident is worse :red: Grandison, meant to injure Jakey can see it clear, as HRG says glass houses and stones spring to mind here.

He's angry and frustrated but there is no need for that. Rene did a stupid thing, yes. But a coward wouldn't go immediately over to see if he was ok (Grandison ran away from Robinson after his hacking down of Robinson). I'd be gutted too if it was me but public personal attacks are unnecessary. It's been blown out of all proportion and Hazell wasn't exactly an angel a few minutes prior to being injured. Karma perhaps? In which case Howe will get his cosmic comeuppance soon enough. But some Shrews are baying for blood for a momentary and foolish lack in judgement, it was a mistake, not an assault.

The foul by Rene is so "bad" you can't even see the contact on the highlights.

It would appear to be more a case of how Hazell went down rather than the foul itself....hardly the worst foul in the world. I have seen a lot, lot worse than that, with players getting up and walking away relatively unscathed.

Shrews fans - honest answers now - if the boot was on the other foot, and it was one of your players that had committed such a "heinous" tackle, would you still see it as an awful foul??!!

Delving a little deeper into their forum it seems I have offended with my karma remark. I don't actually think Hazell deserves his injury just to clarify. But his tackle on one of ours wasn't too pretty if memory serves me correctly and he was lucky to get away with nothing. Of course the poor ickle hard done by Shrews on that forum convieniently ignored that I said Howe could perhaps get some 'cosmic comeuppance' if he had ill intent. Another case of reading what you want and not what you see.
