6th place isn't even in a play-off spot. I'll have a wager with you that you finish lower than that ;-)

You are obviously a betting man Dave but having fleeced a Bristol Rovers fan for a substantial sum you are now going for another cert! ;-)

Should results stay as they are, we've gone up to 4th ;-)

and Jez is working with a much reduced budget than what Ling had ;-)

I got shouted at this before, on another thread, by a man whose name escapes me, but according to the stats on my football scores app, CUFC had 2 shots and scored two goals, leading the match twice. York had eleven on and eleven off target and managed the same number of goals. Is this true, anyone who went?

Yep, it is true.

Thankfully, we now have a manager who is tactically aware though. Under the dark days of Ling, we'd have lost that by a country mile.

Tactically aware? How does averaging one shot per half, getting absolutely mullered, having a man sent off, and earning a point by the grace of God Himself make your manager tactically aware?

The only possible "tactic" I can see from that is that your manager will keep you around mid-table, to prevent any possibility of promotion to L2, where the standard of football is higher. :~D

I certainly wouldn't swap managers with you guys in a million years.

York would comfortably beat Ling's Torquay side, as they would many others in the lower reaches of L2.

See you back in the BSBP next season.

I think you Cambridge fans have forgotten how tough League 2 can be, don't fool yourself that the BSP is anything like the standard that League 2 is.

You might not want to swap managers but your manager would definitely swap clubs ;-)

The top 7-8 sides in the BSBP are usually better than the bottom 7-8 in L2.

I very much doubt Jez would want to join a smaller club though :P

Do you remember anything about League football? :)

He would swap in an instant, unless he has no ambition..............

Having spent 20+ years watching league football, I know plenty about it!

It would certainly be interesting if we drew you guys in the cup this year ;-)

LOL

Any evidence to back that statement up? Because it's absolute horse manure.

I can't understand why any Cambridge fans are here to tell the truth, it's not as though Ling left them to come here, he failed there. Surely from their side there is an acceptance of well he was a bit rubbish but good luck to him.

As for this thread, 'found out' i presume means us finding our rightful place this season of somewhere in the mid-lower end of the table.

It might be interesting but it wouldn't mean a thing. We've beaten plenty of sides from League 1 and the Championship over the last few years but it doesn't mean we're good enough to compete in the league they do.

I hope you guys get promoted, you didn't deserve to have successive seasons of heartbreak at the final hurdle so I'll be cheering you on whatever tongue in cheek comments I make on here ;-)
