What a third quarter performance! For the first 25 minutes of the second half we were awesome - the three goals were class and it could have been 5.

Shame to concede later on but on the whole it was a dominant display with O'Kane, Stevens, Howe and Ellis in top form.

If your team looses 3-1 you dont go saying that team that beat you are rubbish, whats that say about your own team. If that wasnt our best preformence and we still got a decent victory then what about if we were really on top of our game, would have been a lot more.

Yes! you are right, he won the game for us in that ten minute spell & it was just a shame that he did not get his hat trick. Well done Danny for the third great goal of the afternoon!
We didn't play well in the first half, lost the ball too often, & passing could have been better, but I never expect "vintage football" in derby games . The second half was most enjoyable, but we had the chance to clear the ball at least a couple of times before they scored, I don't think M.L. will be best pleased!
I particularly enjoyed the bit where R.H. decided it was time to take a short break & as the grass looked a little damp then the best plan would be to sit on the Argyle keeper ( I.M.O. you can't be too careful with damp grass! it can be a killer you know! ).

I think Lathrope's role yesterday has passed a lot of people by. O'Kane will rightly get the headlines for his spectacular finish and attacking display during our second half performance, but I really feel like Lathrope is one of the major reasons we're doing so much better recently. He threw himself at every loose ball, and while he doesn't play the prettiest role, he keeps things moving by playing nice simple passes much in the same way that Stanley did on his loan spell for us. Really impressed by him yesterday. In many ways, it's his presence that basically allows us to play the formation and style of football that we do. It also means Eunan has far more freedom and that can only be a positive.

He is very underated in the job he's doing. Its no coincidence that the defence has benefited from his shielding work leading to our improved form. You only have to think back to the Southend debacle compared to the results since to see what a difference he has made in that position.

Just seen the Football League show. Eunan really is a class player. There were 3 Argyle players within 2 or 3 yards of him but wonderful control and superb execution resulted in a goal to remember. This strike was worthy of the Premier League.
So pleased for little Danny, what a lovely goal from the tiny man. I spoke to Danny in an Altrincham hotel after the play off final at Old Trafford and I told him that I hoped he stayed at Plainmoor because he has a good football brain and I think Martin Ling deserves a lot of credit for coming up with a formation where Danny at last is playing to his strengths.

In previous years he was forced to do too much defending which clearly he is unsuited to but now with this formation he looks a different player.

Sadly I do not see us keeping Eunan as a championship side is almost bound to bid for him in January and I do hope the board realise just how valuable he is becoming not just with his creativity but with his goals.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say a big well done to Danny Stevens, despite me wanting him to leave our club. His attitude and effort this last month or so has been without question and his goal v Plymouth was something i have been waiting years to see. He is capable of it so why oh why does he not do it more often? Danny of old played v Chesterfield last week, busy, industrious, closing down but no challenges, missed an absolute sitter of an open goal plus scored one he ouldn't miss. Danny got a goal on saturday that we all want to see more of. A run with purpose, conviction and a refusal to break up an attack by putting his foot on the ball and passing it back instead of just going with the flow. I am not a hypocrite and still think Stevens is not league 2 and i don't think we should have given him a contract extension but credit where it is due and praise and thanks for the impressive goal on saturday and for giving 100% for us despite your lack of quality as a footballer ( seriously i don't mean that disparigingly - it is how i see it). Thats all us fans can ask and i appreciate it. Cheers Danny.
