Just seen the highlights on gullplayer...
3 very good goals once again.
Great movement on the 3rd, Rene's run inside taking the defender with him was good to see
Bring on Port Vale...

Well, I was working two 12 hour shifts over the weekend so had to rely on Five Live updates as I was driving around visiting my patients. But, have just seen the highlights on the Beeb's footy website. What cracking goals!
Personally, I prefer Danny's as he had to work hard for it. Like many, I've always had mixed feelings about him. Sometimes he ties himself up in knots, but at others he's brilliant. For old codgers like me, he harks back to old-time forwards who ran AT defences. I like that.
So, for once, it's me strutting my stuff up here in the English north east after the Toon's bad day! Thanks for all the reports and Youtubes!
Cheers

Eunan's goals were ridiculously good. I seriously don't think we'll be able to hold onto him for too much longer, he's too good for this league. Wonderful technique for the first goal and the 2nd goal was just brilliant. Audacious effort but superbly executed to lob a 6'5 keeper from that distance.
Stevens goal too was a goal from someone with confidence sky high at the moment. Excellent skill as well as strength from the wee man to hold off the challenges and a top class finish.

Anyone know what O'Kane got booked for? From the highlights it didn't show him go into the fans (which is a crap rule anyway), so I'm a tad confused by that one. Anyone who was near to where he celebrated, what did he do?
I know, Royal. It happened as he was returning to our half after the celebrations, so I can only assume it was because of his celebration that got the booking. Just unsure if he actually did go into the stand or whatever, so if anyone can shed any light on it then that'll be good.

Usual rubbish from the losing side there Bearnie, We were poor, they had an off day, it was all the referees fault, yadda yadda yadda. Face it Argyle, you went for the big 'un, missed by a country mile and now you're a team full of brick layers and shelf stackers.
I've seen you at your very best this season Argyle, by your own admission, against Swindon. Considering you were away on Saturday, you certainly won't convince me that that wasn't the usual standard of your football, you're bottom for a reason and that reason is that you aren't a very good team. no need to get funny about it, someone has to be bottom and this time it's your turn. Just accept that you did well enough to work hard and make it scrappy for the first half, then comfortably opened up at will in the second half by a vastly superior side. We are not a poor team, which is why we beat L1 opposition 3-1 away on the same day you got extremely lucky to draw 3-3, at home, with a team from the Dog and Duck.
As for the referee, if he'd not been minded that Rene was not allowed within 50 feet of anyone else, it would have been double figures, so you can forget that straight away.
Matt.

The Promised Land of the Premiership is coming . . . . . the Blue Square Premiership
Exeter did it first, Torquay second and Argyle third.
It maybe sometime until the natural order of things correct themselves : Argyle in the 2nd tier, Torquay in the 3rd tier, Exeter in the basement Division, just like in the good old bad old days.
