Not quite a last minute winner but one of the few times i think i saw torquay score a late goal live. Didn't we score late on away at Salisbury? The day we had three penalties or something and missed two of them.
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!

Yep, Michael Brough was sent off as well.

a mixture of complete incompetence, some skillz goals, dodgy refereeing, horrendous tackles and it was baking hot.

Basically that game should have had a massive sign attached to it saying 'WELCOME TO NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL'

Tim Sills scored a vital much disputed penalty for Torquay at home to Northwich Victoria in the 90th minute.
It was a dire performance and many were calling for Buckle's head before the match.
Had that penalty not gone in then who knows what would have happened to Buckle?
Things turned somewhat after that and the rest is history

I remember another from our Conference days - Forest Green away. Sills in goal, they missed a penalty in the 80th minute, the Matt Green scored in the last minute. I wish I'd been there!!

may techinicaly be the last minute,
but witnessing "the king that was robin stubbs"
score twice in the second half, ( final score 3-3 ) against the mighty spurs side, at plainmoor,
f.a.cup 3rd round 1963 - crowd 21000 plus some!
sat on the grass in front of the hoardings at the babbacombe end" priceless memories!

Er, Cap'n, it was January 1965 and you were on TV when the media came pre-match to Plainmoor. ;-)

Did you bunk in for that one over the wall by the Popside toilets or did you do a rare thing and pay ? ;-)

Yes I was at the Spurs game. What a thriller. The only time I saw my late father excited at Plainmoor. He was a Liverpool fan!
Remember the replay? Took the train to London got near White Hart Lane game postponed due to cloudburst.
Following week lost 5-1 Robin Stubbs scored. Great days!!

Am I right in saying that in the 1965 FA Cup tie v Spurs, Torquay were 1-0 up, then 1-3 down and then Robin Stubbs scored 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to make it 3-3 ?

Doesn't meet the criteria of "last minute winners", but still awesome.

Correct.Billy Atkinson made it 1-0 then Alan Gilzean scored 2 and Maurice Norman to make it 1-3 before Robin Stubbs netted twice to earn a replay.

This doesn't count as "last minute winners" either :

Torquay v Lincoln, FA Cup 3rd Round, January 1971 at Plainmoor.

0-3 down to Lincoln at halftime.

Torquay 4-3 winners at fulltime.

All 7 goals scored at the Ellacombe End (Mini Stand)

I was in the Mini Stand on the back step. Best comeback I've witnessed at Plainmoor.

I remember that game. Great cup-tie. The Gulls were 3-0 down within half an hour, but pulled it back to 3-2 by half-time, Torquay's first-half goals being scored at the Ellacombe (cowshed) end. I remember Tommy Northcott scoring with a header. Who got the other goals. Did Tommy score twice?

i stand correct, it was 1965,
what i do remember was you had to attend the reserve team match a couple of weeks prior to the spurs game, to obtain a voucher, which enabled you to purchase a ticket the following week,
i think there was over 7000 people at that game!
on this occasion trojan "the plainmoor raga muffins" ( i.e. fat eric, lanky phil & goofy jezz & the rest ) duly parted with coins of the realm to purchase their tickets!
