His old man is a town legend, and is currently working at the clubs.
Billy is a Swindon boy and he wants to play for the club. It's just that if he isn't playing for us, he's rather be playing somewhere else instead and he seemed to have enjoyed his time with you lot.
PDC does seem to like Billy, he's just unsure if he is ready yet. Let's not forget Billy is only 19. With all this talk of us signing Rooney from Gilllingham, many of us wish Billy was given the chance instead. One thing to bear in mind is that PDC saw billy as an out and out striker but after Billy did well on the wing with you, maybe PDC will consider moving him out wide instead. I think Swindon fans will be seeing Billy in action over the next couple of weeks as PDC looks to make up his mind.
If he does come back to you, look after him for us. Remember you owe us one from selling us the dud Benyon.

Benyon is a class act and one of the best finishers I've ever seen down our way, his positioning and movement in the box is very good too. A bit like Hernandez without the pace and a bit more elbowing in the face by neanderthal Crawley defenders.

Surprised to see him start today but I guess this is his chance to stake a claim for his club. Quietly half-hoping for selfish reasons that he has a poor game today.

I wouldn't read too much into that. PDC often makes tactical substitutions that are not necessarily a reflection on the player being replaced. Murray is a bit more pacey so he may have just bought him on with a counter attack in mind.
He did say something about Billy post match. I think it was positive, can't be sure though 'cos I a cant a understand a word a Paolo says a much a of a the time.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
I dont think it means he definatley wont come back. He played a few times before he came here at the start of the season. Di Canio will see if he's improved since the loan spell and the only way he'll know weather he's improved/going to get nearer there first team is by playing him a few times before deciding weather he thinks Bodin will add something else in there quest for promotion or weather he needs more game time elsewhere and allowing him to come back down here again.
It probably depends on who Swindon can get in and out this window. If Di Canio gets his way then I don't see Bodin in his plans for this season, but if he doesn't then he's a pretty handy player to have in reserve. I hope we do have a plan B because if we really are looking to make the play-offs then we shouldn't be over-reliant on one player. This time 12 months ago we bolstered our squad with some excellent loanees and it propelled us into the play-offs. Ling is doing things in a much better way, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't add to the squad if the money is there and players are available. The squad was built in a very short space of time after Ling's late appointment, so if a better player or two is available now we shouldn't refuse it just to maintain the current balance.
According to the official site we've got some young chap called Nathan Craig on trial at mo. Sounds like a winger by trade. Lingy is obviously looking at offer irons to stick in the fire then with the view to Bodin not coming back!!
Nathan Craig currently plays for Caernarfon Town in the Welsh Premier and he has got 5 goals from 17 appearances so far this season. He is a welsh u -21 international and looks interesting if he can do the business and impress Lingy.

Well Nathan Craig certainly seems to be the type of player to fill the void left by Billy's return to STFC - I guess Lingy is fearing the worst and certainly there is no harm in having a look at this guy over the next couple of weeks. I would assume that he (Craig) must be known to EOK.... perhaps even recommended to Lingy by him?
Sounds very similar career path to EOK, with both being rejected by Everton, both returning "home" to play their football and both hoping to eventually be given another chance in the Football League. Let's hope this lad turns out to be as good as Eunan then!
Sounds a very promising young lad and a rival for Nico on the set pieces. Hopefully we can bring him in as back-up, I think it's pretty obvious that Halpin and Macklin aren't doing the job.
This doesnt suprise me, i dont know the lad but i know there are some decent players in the Welsh Prem and given the chance they would be good enough for league 2 and above. I know players in the welsh prem who have been released by West Brom, Cardiff's ect who would do decent in league 2. The welsh leagues will be a suprise to many to see how strong they are.
It sounds like he has the ability/protential to become a decent player for a club and country. I wish the lad well in his trial and hope for him that he has what it has to sign for us. Like someelse said he could be the next EOK.
EDIT: Just looking at the OS, it saying he is on loan for 2 weeks. Now will this mean he can take part in the first team games. I doubt he will inless he shows some promise in training and the game tomorrow but intresting to see hes a trialist on loan. I know hes under contract but i never realised to meant he had to go on loan. Welsh prem have tightened their rules
I interpretted the "two week loan" thing as a bit of a type/mis information. As far as I'm aware, you can't have a loan less than 28days? I stand to be corrected though. I think it just means he's on a two week trial. But the fact that Caenarfon Town play in the catchily named "Lock Stock Welsh Alliance" means they are 2 tiers below the Welsh Prem (I just had to look it up), so I would assume that he is non-contract and could be snapped up with the seven-day approach?
Either way, the piece on him looks promising. Played with some big names in the U-21s and was trusted with set piece responsibility. Definitely worth a trial, and its pleasing to see Ling looking under the radar for a bargain.
