And one thing Jose Veiga isn't, is 'poor' or 'shite'
His heroics against Bolton were nothing really! At the risk of totally jinxing him, he's one of the best shot stoppers in the division. One f the key reasons that we've only conceded 10 at home in all comps. And two of those were from Bolton!
Oh, and Mendy is a midfielder. Scored a pretty good goal against Bolton though!
Have to be honest here and say, i totaly agree with you , what i saw earlier in the season on the F/L show and in our match here at Plainmoor thought he was a decent all round keeper at this level and a great shot stopper ( very quick of the floor), where did you sign him from ?
We got him from Tamworth I think. But he's had an interesting career starting at Benfica and playing in Spain and Portugal as well as being a Cape Verde international!
Wasnt that cold here last night. Shoulbt be a problem.

Thanks, thank's to the BBC not seen much in the way of highlights of late, however if he is still playing anything like he was at the season start, i would put him down as one of the "finds" of the season on league 2 , along with our own Bobby Ojenick, who i hope you will see today is also a quailty keeper, signed from Falkirk.
We signed him three years ago. He spent a season on the bench behind Jon Brain. If you remember his performance late the other season when you won 1-0, you might be surprised to know he's now inthe decision below Conference North playing for Nantwich! (Where we signed a striker from this week who could make his debut today)
Jose played every game last season and has onl missed one JPT this year. 11 clean sheets already this season I think

Shame for you. I have missed two games through cancelled trains before. The copper wire thieves were straying a long way out of Liverpool on this occasion, surprised they could find their way to Huddersfield.

Yeah i know! I'm gutted to be honest, always love Macc away
The sight of Rodney ripping Efe Sodje apart at Plainmoor in the 97/98 season is a fond memory. Good times, and what a partnership with Jason Roberts. Am surprised to hear of Jon Brain's fall out of League football - he was superb in the aforementioned match.
Only just made it to the game due to roadworks on the A14.
Much better first half than last seasons "efforts". We've been the better side but difficult to carve out anything clear cut with Taiwo so isolated. That doesn't mean he's having a bad game, he's shown some great movement and control and is a real handful.
Macc have lined up with the same system as us, so it's all a bit of a stalemate. Their defence (and the much-vaunted Veiga) look very shaky on set pieces. Both sides have forced saves and had a couple of long rangers off-target. Veiga started time wasting after about 10mins. Just like last year.
On the strength of the first half we can get a result here, but we need to get more people forward and in the box if it's to be from open play. Best bet is us to score from a set piece. I fear if we were to go one down, we don't have the personnel to change things.
