On the occasions I sat in the family stand I never had any problems, but it's been a few years now since I sat there. I believe it's not the design of the seats, but the fact that people (including myself, I must admit) are bigger these days.

So if seats (and people) do now need more space, why not also make the stand itself a little bigger. Technically possible, but perhaps finances did not permit, which is understandable.

It's already bigger than all our other stands, why do we need to make it bigger again? We aren't likely to fill it anyway.

Most grounds for most games are not filled to capacity. But if the capacity is there, it can at some time be filled. If it is not there, it never will be. Accompanied by financial prudence, it's the opportunity to go forward into a successful future. The alternative is stagnation and decline. But at least Plainmoor has taken a positive step in the right direction. When the time is right, other parts of the ground can be enlarged to install more seats and cope with increased demand..

Then in todays Herald that the 1980 figure was a misquote and it is 1780. Now I've no idea what to believe!?!

That really does look fantastic. Can't wait until we start seeing the seats go in and it starts to look a bit more TUFC. Puts Crawley's new stand to shame...

Thanks Taunton gull for the update.Looks impressive!

Does anyone know the colours of the seating and is there to be a logo in there?

Will it match the family stand?

From what I can remember the seats will be blue with the letters "T.O.R.Q.U.A.Y" in each block.

I hope it's the other way round, Danny. Yellow seats, blue 'TORQUAY'.
