ALAN!
Have noticed that no one has had the common courtesy to reply to your ice breaker, not Louis, not even the deadly nipple tweaker from Southampton. How unsporting.
Seen you once outside the Popside entrance. Now that is what I call a drum, unlike that biscuit tin that Joe Barlow carries around.
Keep banging away from home. No innuendo implied.

Your interests include running and the gym and it took you 9:18 to do the PJFT mile 'n' a half? Were you carrying heavy shopping?
Welcome to board etc, do keep us abreast of your Basic Training (if you can.)

Travel for work purposes. When not based in London, will spend between 2 and 4 years at any one post. Usually do two overseas postings and then back to London for a stint. Have house in Brixham and get to Plainmoor whenever I can.
Hmmm,
Well, we have no military links to Romania, and, even with the best desky in the world, you can't guarantee London/Abroad/London etc, not even at a rank commensurate with the salary of a bloke who owns a home he doesn't visit more than 4 times a year.
There is singly NO good reason why anyone in the private sector would do the London/Abroad/London etc stint either, especially not on such a short swing.
If you were MI6, you wouldn't be shouting about your job on an open forum.
This leaves State Rep, which means 24 Jules Michelet 010463 Bucharest, Romania is your place of work.
As for actual occupation, if you're going to lots of different places, you either have no requirement to speak the language or you're a genius. If it's the latter, you sure as hell aren't going to spend your time on TUFC forums, which means its the former. So, you have no front of house requirement, or you go to places where the majority of the population is educated and speaks sufficient English to converse with you. Either that or you genuinely have absolutely no contact with foreigners and there is a large group of Ex Pats. Since I'm going with Gvt official and not private sector, this seems unlikely. of the 21,000,000 people in the country, only 5,000,000 speak English to any real degree, although it has been taught in schools for the past 10-15 years, the majority of employment age Romanians will not have been taught at school. This suggests that you are a liason officer between Westminster and a small chunk of privately educated Romanian chaps, such that may work in local or national government.
I'm probably totally wrong, but I took a short nap yesterday afternoon and, BOY, am I paying for it now!

Matt, it's not the nap, you've had red Smarties again, haven't you? Although for someone who didn't know where Preston* was, I'm impressed with your post <wavey, kissy, Santa suited smilie>ferrarilover wrote: I'm probably totally wrong, but I took a short nap yesterday afternoon and, BOY, am I paying for it now!
