Buckle at it again ...
Buckle at it again ...
... falling out with players that is.

You really do have to question the way he manages players when he is constantly falling out with them. If all the rumours wre to be believed, at various times, he fell out with Nico, Greavsie, Woodsy, Sillsy as well as the likes of Raynor, Green, Carayol and Dsane to name a few. In his brief time at BRFC he had a very public falling out with Stuart Campbell and Jo Kuffour too and in much the same way as Greavsie's version of events surrounding his departure differed quite widely from PBs so it appears to have been the case with both those two at Rovers and now Willmott at Luton!
Much as I admire some of his managerial qualities, if nothing else we should at least thank him for bring the likes of Eunan to the club, it has been such a refreshing change under Martin Ling's stewardship that by and large we seem to have a happy squad with no such public fallings out .... other than perhaps a couple of the youngsters being put on the naughty step! :~D

Think you're too quick to blame Buckle here. Nobody has criticised Martin Ling because Mark Ellis has held out on his contract. So why blame Buckle in the same circumstances? There's a limit to every manager's patience. Reading their fans' forum and local press, my impression is that many, if not most, players and Luton fans completely agree with the way Buckle has gone about things as Luton manager. And I may be wrong but it always seemed to me that at Bristol Rovers certain players (not the ones he brought in) would not accept Buckle was the boss and this poisoned the atmosphere.

I doubt you'll find any Rovers fans sharing that viewpoint.

Their agents undoubtedly also had a hand in this..
Not sure Bucks has fallen out with anyone here. It appears the players were expecting some sort of easy pushover with a bit of ego boosting thrown in and Buckle wouldn't play ball.
Then, as we see with many players at all levels, we have a player who then takes to Twitter to air his grievances rather than accepting life and getting on with it.

Now now Leigh, we're Torquay fans and we're allowed to hate him

And still at by signing Scott Rendell.
Buckle's list of contacts really must be written on the back of a stamp.

Reminds me somewhat of Martin Ling and Brian Saah...And still at by signing Scott Rendell.

In fairness its a great signing for Luton and he has done well to get him to go back to the BSP.

Who has now offered a contract to Craig Easton and signed Ryan Jarvis.budleigh wrote: Reminds me somewhat of Martin Ling and Brian Saah...
Rendell and potentially Jon Shaw up front next year, Luton will win that league comfortably.
If Rendell had signed for us instead of Luton I would have been well pleased with that. Nice guy and hope he does well as I def think he is League standard.

They won't finish in front of Forest Green mate.
