Wembley Mascot
Wembley Mascot
Anyone remember little Lewis Starkey the lad that ran out at Wembley as our mascot? He has relapsed and is going back to hospital because his leukaemia has returned and will have to go through all that treatment again. His Dad Graham reads this site and I think it would be nice if he could go into see Lewis and show him some of the wonderful things that people say, cheer him up a bit. It`s amazing how far a small boost can go to brighten up someones day! Moral support goes along way, I know Lewis personally and he is an absolutely crackin lad, he doesn`t deserve this horrible disease!
Andrew Candy if you read this can you get the club to send him something at Bristol Hospital please, I will pay for it. It`ll make his day!

Both Annette and I wish young Lewis all the strength in the world and our thoughts and prayers at this time as no child deserves this. I bet he's a really brave lad as well. I knew his Dad many years ago when I was in the army in Bielefeld, Germany way before Graham knew Lewis's mum. Graham, if you read this then our thoughts are with you all so keep in there!!! Lots of water under the bridge now and time moves on so just keep strong.

Hi Aussie,
Thank you for letting the Club know of this very sad development. I have arranged for a number of items to be sent to Lewis and for a card with a message from Martin Ling to go with them. They will be sent later this week as I understand that Lewis is not being admitted until tomorrow. There is no need for you to pay anything as the Club can cover these costs.
Everyone here wishes Lewis the very, very best for a speedy recovery.
Regards,
Andrew
