When was the Family Stand built?cambgull wrote:Well in theory we've built 3 stands in around 20 years so maybe the Popside is due for an overhaul in around 2018/2019... You never know!
The old corrugated iron 'Cowshed' was replaced by the 'mini stand' which was built behind the Ellacombe end goal in the summer of 1967. Insufficient finance prevented it from being built along the whole width of the pitch, and part of the Cowshed remained next to the Ministand for a few years before blowing down. The Ministand was extended a year or two later but never did extend to the whole width of the pitch as originally intended, and was replaced, I believe in the early nineties, by the stand we have today.rachii12 wrote: When was the Family Stand built?
