As much as I personally detest Bournemouth as a Club at least it isn't too far for me to go to watch him develop.

Good luck to him and a big thanks from me for his professionalism whilst a Torquay player.

Now I'll have to modify my bloody profile ffs.

Shame he has gone because on his day he is untouchable in this division and a real joy to watch. However, 5 goals last season in a 451 formation built round him was a bit of a meagre return, and a first full season really looked to take its toll on him as his influence waned significantly towards the end of the season.

The signings of Nathan Craig, Craig Easton, marquee signing of Billy Bodin, and emergence of Nial Thompson might indicate that Lingy was expecting to sell him at some point, and as stated the option is there to replace him if needs be. I really felt the 451 formation was perfectly suited for Eunan and for Danny so it will be interesting to see in his absence whether we revert to a more traditional 442- which would certainly benefit Rene and Jarvis. We do have plenty of options in house already so there is no need to panic.

Would like to wish Eunan all the best for the future, hope he fulfills his massive potential for club and country. Seems a really grounded individual too. When on song he has been a joy to watch.

Pretty gutted that he's gone - I thought we'd seen off any advances for him once he started pre-season for us. But it was going to happen at some point so good luck to him. And as much as I like him and rated him, £175k isn't a bad return for a player who badly went missing towards the back end of last season. I think that showed he was a long way from the finished article.

Bit disappointed its to Bournemouth - developed a distinct dislike for them and their fans when we played there over xmas a couple of years ago. And where did this money come from? I remember when they were begging "save our club" and waving buckets at everyone.

I wonder if Ling has a replacement lined up, or if he is going to with Easton, Morris or Craig to fill that role (or revert to a 4-4-2)

Yes Bournemouth never had a pot to piss in at one stage but they are now owned with someone with plenty of cash to spend, like they did last season.

A shame he has gone but just want to echo what every Torquay fan is thinking at the moment , thanks Eunan for everything you did for us, a fantastic player and always there to chat should you want to. Good luck for the future and make us some more money on a sell on :)

Good luck Eunan, thank you for entertaining us whilst you have been at Plainmoor. I have enjoyed watching you play, and hope you do well at Bournemouth. Thank you for not going to Crawley, that would have been hard to bear!

On the subject of Bournemouth, I remember a League game up there (last time we were in League 1 I think) where a very fat Bournemouth fan sat near to the Gulls fans and received "Who Ate All the Pies" for a lot of the game. We lost. It is ironic that they appear to be getting Eunan quite cheaply compared to the vastly inflated fee they paid to Crawley for the hugely overrated Matt Tubbs. I guess they have money to burn. I met a Bournemouth fan on a recent holiday, who couldn't understand why they had paid so much for Tubbs when he had been there on loan previously and totally underwhelmed the fans.

Bit disappointed its Bournemouth he has gone to. in the scheme of things, it's not an enormous step up. However, I wish him well

Good luck Eunan. Hopefully one day, we'll be able to see you in the Premier League.

Gutted but I expected it, even when he stayed. At least that's more money in the kitty for us.

Martin Ling says there may be answers within the squad regarding Eunan's replacement, and he will be looking at options over the next few weeks..

An interesting article as to why Eunan signed for Bournemouth: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19001294" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks Eunan, pretty much a sideways step mate but you'll be on more money at least. He developed into a great player at l2 level although his goals scored ratio is poor and something he needs to add to his game. I'm not too gutted he has gone as i wasn't completely obsessed with him as some of you were, i feel someone can come in and do a decent enough job instead but that said, i thank him for his time with us and wish him luck. Anyone know how much he has gone for?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
