Would love to meet all you guys, i had the opportunity last season when Steve very very kindly invited me to do a similar thing but i could'nt make it as i had a bit of an illness. Sadly it will be the same this time i'm afraid. Not ill though just working! I'm on alternate weekends at work and it's my weekend in. . At least i get to go to the away games at Fleetwood (before) and Vale (after) though.
It would be great to meet many more of you and maybe on my next visit to Plainmoor i can do so. I am coming down for the Burton Albion game on sat 22nd of September as i'm on annual leave then so can make that one. Forevertufc also kindly offered to meet me last season which i didn't get round to doing and i've got to admit to being a bit intimidated when passing boots n laces as it's always rammed in there and i've never been in so i wouldn't know where to go or what to do if i'm on my tod.
This opportunity is much appreciated but one which, frustratingly i can't accept. I hope you all have a great time anyway and maybe meet some of you at some point this season.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I can't make this day - is this likely to be repeated again during the season? (Obviously with different opposition before any smartarses pop up and say we only play Rochdale once at home...)

Andy never be intimidated at going into Boots and Laces, it's no duck and dive, in fact it's as tame as a pet wabbit, if your coming down for the Burton game pm your mob number I will find you, I will then introduce you to many folk.austrianandygull wrote:

Warning though, after spending an afternoon with some us lads, you may not leave in the same mental state you arrived in, and may need help when you return home
