Chesterfield v Torquay United - 29/9/12
Rene tried to burst his way through but blocked off. Chesterfield having a lot of chances, Saah pulled on someone's arm, penalty claim ignored.
Niall got a real bang in the lip.
Jarvis on for Stevens.

221 Gulls at the game
Not bad considering lack of wins and the distance![/quote]
Yep! That's what I thought.
Anyone doubting me Soccer Saturday and Live Score have updated it to 1-1 now
as I write this I can hear our fans in the background :~D

I missed their goal after 48 mins, but apparently we switched off for a quick free kick that eventually got turned in.
Howe equalised on 51 mins. Defensive mistake left him through on goal, but was 30 yards out. Ran in on his right, dumied, and finished well with his left foot.

Yep, pretty much what they said on Gulls Player, the free kick was taken super fast and we weren't expecting it.
Howe's doing well to keep his cool, giving away free kicks.

Definitely take that. A point at Chesterfield is something that we rarely get, and is good in any circumstance.
The injury situation raises some interesting questions pending the visit of out-of-form Aldershot on tuesday. Ling had alluded to going to two up front which I'd be in favour of for this game, but who would we line up with given the players we have available?
4-4-2, Jarvis and Howe up front? Macklin/Thompson/Stevens and Bodin as the wingers, Mansell and who else in the centre? Stevens? Too small. Oastler? Might do a job but would we trust Leadbitter at Right back? Cruise? Square peg round hole syndrome.
