Just listened to Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell, a song in which Joni complains they 'Paved paradise to put up a parking lot', a measure which actually would have alleviated traffic congestion on the outskirts of paradise, something which Joni singularly fails to point out, perhaps because it doesn't quite fit in with her blinkered view of the world. Nevertheless, nice song.

One of Mitchell's finest songs, and a decent cover by Mrs Costello

OK. Two questions. How are we going to eat, and what floor’s the restaurant on? The answer is “The Chinese Way” and Level 42.

Just so long as we hide the steak, it's Chrissie Hynde.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Why does this tune makes me bounce around the house ? (think there is a thread for this...)
Have been belting it out on the piano and annoying folks - marvellous :)

No, but the Brit-Canadian metallers!

Hairy Axewound is a better name for the band though. ;-)
