Steve Edwards - RIP

Post by Magpiegull »

Steve, from Brixham, a supporter for well over 50 years, sadly passed away in the early hours of last Friday morning in Torbay Hospital. It has come as a shock as Steve had not been unwell at all until he suffered a heart attack last Wednesday and seemed to be recovering until a second attack on Friday. Prior to Bristows Bench, Steve always stood close to the dug-outs and will be sadly missed by his friends who also shared that area of the grandstand side for so many years. The Gulls have lost a staunch and loyal supporter. RIP Steve.

Always sad to hear of the passing of a fellow yellow magpiegull and obviously i didn't know the man but i have sympathy for his friends and family.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Torquay supporter for over 50 yrs! One word, respect. RIP

Often wondered what supporters have to do to get a minutes silence before a match. If it's anything, surely 50yrs is it.
