Well, the first of those is essentially a copy of the Mail piece. Leaving aside the Mail's well-know regard for facts, all their article says is that "Mail on Sunday's figures show that" without any kind of attribution.
I'm not trying to be a dick (it's really just a talent of mine) but these still aren't primary sources. As it happens, I wouldn't be surprised if the figures given are fairly accurate. The point I was making is that if you're going to put stuff up as 'fact' you need a source. Also my point is (as I've said elsewhere over the years) that ending a sentence with ". Fact" doesn't convince anybody of the veracity of your argument...just that you're annoying.
I realise I'm swimming against the tide here - since when does anything on the internet need to have any basis is reality - but there you go.
My opinions are right and everyone elses are wrong - FACT!

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
Forgive me my levity, there really IS no place for such a thing on here anymore it seems.
Seriousness please all.

I'll not give a name but last season a large club at the top end of league 1 signed a good friend for first team football and his salary was just shy of £2k per week basic - I would be very surprised if Benyon was earning a similar level.
The money mail is known as a trusted publication, and judging by where they are claiming to have got there facts from I have no reason not to believe what they have published.
Also to tie this in there is a gaurdian article published in 2010 roughly saying the same thing...http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/ma ... ler-career They cant all be wrong, its suggesting that a League 2 footballer earnt around 49,000 a year in 2006 even if earnings only went up in line with inflation League 2 players are earning around a £1000 a week on average, which is what I suggested we should offer Benners early in this thread.
Cheers Scott, it was posted as a 'humorous' response and if happy had put a smiley next to his sentence then i'd have seen his humour too. The fact he didn't led me to believe it was a personal attack but what the hell, i'll just move on and bear no grudge. I enjoy a lot of our American friends' postings.

Andy, I'm sure it's been posted elsewhere, but since we're already off topic enough, you're Martin Ling comment is pure quoting genius, made me chuckle to myself everytime I've seen it! Even if you can be a moody cow, you've brightened up my day a good few times. Cheers mate.
I'm not a cow but if i was i'd be a lovely Jersey, ripe for milking!
(If you don't like Alan Partridge , Brooker, you won't get it. Sorry mate but couldn't resist it.)
