Torquay's Ultimate Legend

Post by DLRG12 »

Hi lads,

Big fan of your forums - congratulations to all involved.

My name is David Lyons and I am the editor of
http://www.NononsenseFootball.com

Your club's section on our website requires its Ultimate Legend!

We are asking all posters on these forums to vote for your club's
Ultimate Legend. The vote will occur right here over the next seven
days when we will collate the findings and add the name of your
official ultimate club legend to our website.

All the contributors to these forums have to do is post the name of
the person they feel is the club's biggest legend in its entire
history in this thread.

The ultimate legend will be a player or manager who has represented
the club at any stage throughout its existence.

I am very grateful for your cooperation to this project as we search
for your club icon that will be listed forever on our new website on
your club's homepage.

Please enter the name of the person you feel deserves the title as
your club's "Ultimate Legend" below.

Many thanks,

David

I would personally say Kevin Hill. With the club for 10 years through the ups and downs, the most appearances from a Torquay player with very memorable goals.

Just sneaking ahead of Aggy Russell and Mark Loram, my vote goes to

Robin Stubbs
"A day without football is a day lost" (Ernst Happel)
"Look at the (Plainmoor) stars, Look how they shine for you, And everything you do, Yeah they were all yellow" (C. Martin)

Lee Mansell

(most dedicated and committed outfield player for a number of years now and the best in that category since i've been a fan ( 7 years ).
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

So how about Don Mills then who actually won this same poll when we did it properly at Plainmoor rather than for a random website? He narrowly edged in front of Robin Stubbs..... and if anybody suggests any player other than Don Mills, Robin Stubbs, and Sammy Collins then a nurse should attend to them immediately! ;-)
