Apparently, when he was at Bristol Rovers, Rovers offered us him back but Ling (it is alleged) didn't want him because the dressing room was so united and it was felt Zeb would destabilise that harmony. Obviously, a player of that talent, I would love top see back at Plainmoor and it could be argued that his most productive football has been spent here (admittedly under Buckle). However, I seriously doubt that TUFC would even consider having him back and I suspect Zebroski wouldn't come back either. Like others have suggested, I would imagine he would end up at Luton.

After his indiscretion at Plymouth, Cheltenham are effectively the second club who have 'sacked' him and for such a relatively young man he has now played for Plymouth (sacked), Millwall, Torquay (loan), Wycombe, Torquay, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham (sacked), probably Luton. That's 8 moves and a shame as he is talented and in danger of throwing it all away.

Manse and Nicho were both here with him before. If they think he'll not wreck the dressing room spirit, and if the board will sanction it then I thing Dinger would be crazy not to bring him in.

I have to be honest I fail to see why anyone would want him here least of all our board who must be worried as we are about things currently and wouldn't want any other distractions. Couple that with the fact he didn't want to be with us I'd rather concentrate any meager resources on someone who does want to be here.

Sorry in my book the guys a liability we don't need.

I hardly think he did the dirty on us. Paul Buckle was the manager who helped him rescue his career, he was lured away with the prospect or playing for a 'bigger club' and earning more money. Who wouldn't change jobs in the same circumstances?

As for his influence, that would have to be a judgement call for Dinger with information gained from the players who were here with him before.

I'd have Zebroski back, got a goal or two in him, knows the club well and he's a lot better than Danny/Bodin.

I'd love to offer him a prove yourself contract, but I can't see this happening - he'll already have been at Luton no doubt to have his medical.

It would be a bit unusual for him to return to our club where he had already earned a reputation for being a little unreliable. I know that our boys think it's wise to stay in the night before a match and it would not be thought of as sensible to out clubbing the night before and have a few too many. His reputation will by now be a big factor in where he goes next. I have seen too many players end up on the scrap heap by going off the rails. Very few ever get the chance to ressurect their careers after that.
Of the odd one or two who have, Some of us feel one or two shouldn't have had the chance at all. and should still be made to follow a different careers outside of football.
Zebs should take a real hard look at himself after this. he may be on his last chance saloon. I doubt he will get any more chances after his next club if indeed he has a next club.

I personally haven't got a problem if he goes out clubbing the night before a match so long as he does the business in the game. If he doesn't then you can't justify it. I think with Zebs i'd just say, "do what you want but nothing less than 100% on the pitch will do and if you can't give me that then leave and leave now". I'm sure Zebs would appreciate the trust, faith and understanding from whichever manager would say this. I could be completely wrong however and he would just take the p*ss. I don't know how you guys thought best to handle Zebs?

As someone else mentioned, Dinger has various sounding-boards within his squad. I am sure that the likes of Poke, Manse and Nico will give their gaffer an honest appraisal of Zebs as a player and character.

Macklin and Leadbitter have both shown signs of having knuckled down and put their shoulders to the wheel. One would hope that Ling is able to crack the whip when required, and Zebroski must surely know that he is now in danger of flushing his God-given talents down the pan. Perhaps Ricey could offer him a description of life as a labourer?!

Like another poster mentioned, I too heard that Zebs was offered back to us when he was still at BRFC but Lingy turned it down on the basis of the player's "character" and the effect it might have on the existing group. On that basis, I seriously doubt that his spell and in effect his sacking at Cheltenham have done anything to change his mind, far more likely to feel that his initial decision was the right one.

Judging by the comments made to the BBC, it seems we are no nearer bringing anyone in and in all honesty you get the impression that Lingy wouldn't be that fussed if we didn't anyway. Comments like the "loan window is always open" (not strictly true but we get your point!) and IF we END UP with someone (not exactly sounding confident that it will happen, is he????) .... suggests to me that he doesn't see it as a major priority. I get the feeling that Jarvis may be back sooner than expected anyway, that together with the "emergence" of young Yeoman as a support striker ... makes me feel that the need to add to the squad may not be perceived as being that urgent after all.
