Paul Bristow song?
Paul Bristow song?
This is out of the blue I know BUT after everything Paul Bristow has done for our club we haven't actually got a song for him, in a way he's a huge part of our history as without the money he invested we may not even be a club today.
Anyway city have got a song for Adam stansfield and I personally love the tune they sing, we could use the same tune just different words.
So first line ..........
We'll sing a song for Paul Bristow
Line 2?
Line 3?
Line 4?
See what everyone comes up with start singing it this week.

I think this is a worthy idea, but dont really want to use a tune that Exeter city fans have choosen for their special tribute. Paul Bristow deserves a special song with a different tune.
True I love that tune and it goes, however any song about him we need 4 or 5 lines not just "there's only one Paul Bristow"
Need ideas as I said up there we can start singing it from this Saturday

Cracking idea, its going to need some sensative thought though Boy do we need a song and a song about Paul would be brilliant. Always wanted to somehow see Abide with me introduced but to be honest I think it was always a non starter in this day and age.
I'll try and give it some thought.

Great idea. That City song is class and a fitting tribute. It would be great if we could come up with something half as good!
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

'We'll never be mastered, by you dirty bas*ards'
How about
'The conference no longer, all thanks to your wonga'

Bristow
You saw us standing alone
Without a dream in our hearts
Without a club of our own
Bristow
We know just what you were there for
You heard us saying a prayer for
A club we could really care for.
Maybe not ?
First attempt, back to the drawing board then
You saw us standing alone
Without a dream in our hearts
Without a club of our own

I like using that tune. How about.
Bristow,
They built a stand in your name,
You made our club rise again
...........
Can't think of a final line.
We will remember your name? Having name twice isn't good though.

You made our club rise again
Took away all of our pain

Next home game we will sing that

I love this idea and personally think SteveDeckchair's line fits very well.
