Not everything is his fault.

Has he built on his glimmer of ability shown in the Exeter game?

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

But we have more than one attacking player, Andy, and there as been little to no threat from us going forward. The fault for that is the way we've set up, the performances of the midfield and attackers as a unit (of which Bodin is one part), and, possibly, that Cheltenham simply have a better team than us.

I've been saying this for ages but when Billy doesn't perform we look short in midfield and the link up fails and we get overrun. The tactics are a huge problem but Billys form is an irreversible one.

Let's not have an overreaction after this game.
Did anyone really expect a result against Cheltenham at their place? The result against Exeter has helped patch us through to a better run of fixtures without the huge glare of a dogfight on our hands.

Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Andy - I get that you don't rate Billy. That's fine and that's your opinion, to which you are entitled to have.
However, that is pretty much all you ever go on about!!
Billy didn't ask to be sold for a stupid amount of money.
Ok - he was better for us when on loan, but then we had a vastly different team last time out and, with Eunan et al in the side maybe he was able to flourish a bit more than he is now.
He is currently performing the same as most other players in this league are - glimpses of quality and other times frustration.
He is not the finished article, he knows this and I am sure Martin knows this too. However, I am convinced that he will come good.
I am maybe looking at this in a different manner as I haven't yet spent any money this season watching Torquay whereas you have and, rightly, you feel that you haven't had value for your money. Maybe I would be as frustrated as you if I was spending the sort of cash you were too. It's just that, with the greatest of respect, I find your posts frustrating and (to coin Emet's phrase) starting to make my piss boil.
Now - I hope that this isn't going to stop you from posting again.....us admin staff are still finding the odd stray toy from last time

No but if the performance comes back from those that went to have been a shocker then it SHOULD matter. How the f*ck are supposed to get any consistency going when we just give up and say oh well it doesn't matter we beat Exeter? The win against Exeter has patched things up all right, patching up the huge crack that is being papered over. Have a look at the fixtures we have coming up and have a look at our form and how well we are playing. (Not)
And Scott, i've never said it's about the money that Billy cost. If he came on a free i would be mortified with what i have seen so far this season.

Nonsense - to coin a phrase, "form is temporary, class is permanent" He has shown glimpses of what he can do. I believe he will come good again.austrianandygull wrote:
