It's just frustrating that when we score we always concede and sometimes when we don't concede we don't score. I reiterate the point that i said after the Accrington game, we should have nailed the 3 points there, they were there for the taking. Not adventurous enough, same old. Away form is particularly distressing as with Southend, Gillingham and Northampton coming up we can only realistically hope for a minor miracle at Daggers ( who won at Rotherham today ) or at Morecambe which is a unpredictable place to be going. Forget any points or goals at the first three venues. In theory we could get 0 points from those 5 games. At home it is the teams like Oxford, Chesterfield, York that we should be looking to beat but one has gone already and should be not get maximum points from those then it could be down to beating Barnet and Brizzle last day and hope for the best. I've had a rant and i still believe the players should be forfeiting wages as a gesture of goodwill but there isn't much we can do about what is happening. I'll probably be at Southend next week and definately Northampton, something that can't be said about certain 'so called ' fans on here who give their ten penneth worth but never go to the games and think they have a right to comment. We can still do it, we won't do it but it's possible and although i am now resigned to the conference i still see a sliver of light at the end of a long dark tunnel to cling on to and until that light goes out i have some hope.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I pass comment and don't go to games - does that make me a "so called" fan?

I haven't been to a game since Barnet away, but will be at Dagenham, Southend & Gillingham, plus Bristol Rovers, so am commenting just based on others reports.
It seems clear to me that something has to change or the decline won't be stopped. New players, new system or new manager. If not, just a lucky win might change the player's outlook.
Minor consollation was to come back to the computer and after thinking Accrington had won and then finding they conceded 8 minutes into injury time - that's what we expect from Torquay.
Dagenham are very poor so I wouldn't rule out getting something on Tuesday.

I was going to amend that now, i meant people who generally pass comment on my opinions as though theirs are always right and don't go to the games. I didn't mean you in general Scott, i was referring to a little disagreement with someone i had earlier but tried to keep it low key and subtle. No offence mate, you are entitled to pass comment on the games and your views as you see them, no probs. I probably am not explaining myself well at all but basically it's not a dig at you. I've probably opened a can of worms here and am getting into a bit of a hole and i didn't mean to. Ignore it as it doesn't concern most of you. Sorry for any offence.Scott Brehaut wrote:I pass comment and don't go to games - does that make me a "so called" fan?

Well we still have a game in hand over York and Aldershot !!!! Go on then, tell me to 'PISS OFF'.
Poke - 7. Stopped it being 6. Saved 3 one-on-ones in first half.
Oastler - 3. Did he pass to a yellow shirt once all game? At fault for first two goals.
Saah - 5. Weak.
Downes - 4. Constable had the better of him all game, really. Shocker for second and third goals.
Nicho - 5. Meh.
Labadie - 7. Did alright, can take a free kick.
Mansell - 5. Run around, not much else.
Jarvis - 4. Useless, not gonna lie.
Bodin - 6. Did okay, Batt had the measure of him and tended to have 2 on him at all times.
Howe - 5. Who?
Benyon - 5. Lots of effort, no real quality.
Macklin - 5. Barely touched the ball.
Stevens - not on long enough to comment.
Dreadful day, I wonder if the club recognise we're in a relegation battle yet, not just 21 off the playoffs..

I just think we need to get that win on the board to be able to move forward. I was so hoping it was today as we could then start to kick on but we always seem to be in a state of limbo. Before the Rochdale game i kind of thought that we'd be ok and playing away from Plainmoor would relieve the pressure we seem to be under at Plainmoor. I went to Rochdale and we still played the same way and it was horrendous to watch, then at Accrington we failed to score against a desperately bad side this season. So i can't say that going to Dagenham will present any relief from the pressure. The pressure is on each game now and it's not so much have we got the players to win football matches because on any given day no matter how good or bad a team is playing they can win/lose a football match. My concern is we don't have the players who can handle this pressure and it certainly looks like that at the moment. Bringing in a couple of strikers will certainly help and will be a last throw of the dice but i'm not even sure we have the calibre of player overall to deal with this. I know i'll probably be criticised here but there is little point in going to Dagenham and not giving it a go from the off. We need wins and i'd rather take a point from a winning position than a defeat from a drawing position. If we play with fear and not wanting to make mistakes ( which i have seen us do on many occasions ) then we can't express ourselves in the manner i know we can ( i've seen it ) and so we end up on this long battle of bad form and bad psychological karma. I'm not sure if a couple of strikers can change such deeply embedded issues. I want to be wrong i really do.
