I hope that all Council Tax paying TUFC fans in Torbay will put pressure on their elected Councillors to ensure that the public asset of Plainmoor is kept in public ownership. I don't want Osborne to make money out of this, I'd rather that the freehold of Plainmoor was turned into a public park than sold to GI.

Do they actually believe the Official Statement on the club website?
Did Gaming International write it for them?
Yet again they think the fans were born stupid.

The problem is that as soon as GI can manoeuvre things so that there is no club to play at Plainmoor what are the Council going to do? Stick to their morals or get the best value they can for their coffers and agree to release the covenants. In terms of public accountability I don't see they will have much choice. GI know this, will work towards this and probably already have some councillors in their pockets. At the end of the day even if the Council does prove to have a backbone GI won't have lost anything.

Yep, seen it. We've been sold to Riviera Stadium Limited which is part of Stadia UK which is part of Gaming International. Can't help but think they're getting at something with that name but I can't quite put my finger on it.....

Right.... so its happened and although I don't like it there is nothing I can do about it. What I will say is that I will judge GI on their actions rather than any words and it will be "interesting " to see what does or does not happen in the next month. I will not be passing comment on them til I see but if Mr Phillips were to be walking past I would certainly be questioning his intentions over the last month. Overall though I clearly agree it doesn't look good.
I do wonder though what role Masters has to play here or is he just protecting the money he put in. At least he has a modicum of experience of running a football club.

i think its about the only option we had apart from going out of business. they may not prove to be as bad as we all expect them to be, time will tell, at least we'll have some cashflow and there will definately be a game for me to watch at york tomorrow after all the uncertainty

So. Sold out to 'not the best bedfellows'. There fore I dont need need to be the best supporter. All funds withdrawn until further notice. This club is already dead. bye bye

Has anyone questioned the possibility that Georg, mushroom and co. may have had something to do with GI? I don't know, and I have absolutely no facts nor am I making a statement with any basis. Just enquiring as to what people think.

Just remarking on the OS (who have now amended the news article) which had TUFC Club Statement followed by reference to TUAFC. Sorry Kit, ever the pedant.

I know I'm asking for a grilling here but will every one just calm down, can we wait and see what GI have to say in their statement first, if we don't like what they have to say or do over the next few months, then we can vote with our feet, if we have to start over again then that's what the hardcore of fans will have to do. The fact is it is absolutely out of our hands and they are in control of the destiny of OUR club, and we will respond accordingly. I'm sure they want to keep the fans on their side right?
