Huge thanks to GR Tourist for a superb report.
I have read the report twice and it appears we had 5 gilt edged chances.
Williams hit the post early on.
Reid missed from 2 yards 41st minute.
Williams missed 54 minute.
Reid slice after 64 minutes.
Hall chance when keeper fell over and saved with his back!

Slough had 7 chances and failed to hit the target excluding the penalty.

In defence of Reid the Non League Paper gave him an 8 equalled only by Bass and Koue-Niate.

We have to get behind the team to turn against them so early in the season will be counter productive for sure.
The next 3 games are winnable and Gary Owers must go 433 to improve support for the forwards.

We must do extra work on set pieces. A good example is Everton goal yesterday by Walcott. How often do we see a training ground move which results in a goal at Plainmoor? Think about it Gary.

This was exactly my experience of the bench after observing the East T game. GO seems to have built a poor team spirit and spends most of the game bollocking his players

The North/South Team of the Day has the Slough keeper Jack Turner in goal.

Because under normal circumstances a part time keeper keeping a clean sheet against a full time professional team would merit such an award. They obviously don't realise how shit we are!!

On those highlights we should have won that easily.

You can sort of feel the frustration in the players as clear cut chance after chance goes begging. Williams cannot buy a goal at the moment but on the chance that he had hes done everything right and then rolled it wide of a gaping net. Quite incredible really.

You cannot say that we didn't create anything - several times we have had players spare and its either the final pass or shot that lets us down.

Their keeper has made one or two decent saves as well.

People need to get a grip.

Totally agree, we hit the bloody post/crossbar 6 times over the past 2 fixtures, a turn of fortune and those shots go in.

Not a fan of Owers or Reid but come on people....

Those of us that were there I am sure will verify that highlights can often present an 'Optical Illusion' . Your preception that we should have won the game easily, does not match the true image. In reality, we must be thankfull Slough were what they were - a part time 'give it a go' outfit who were woeful in front of goal - chance after chance went begging their way. Had they been clinical, we could have seen an embarrrassing scoreline.

My observation on each of the matches played this season is that we have nothing to fear from these teams and yet we play a defensive format as if we are trying to stave off relegation this season. We hear comments from fans that 'we are low in confidence' - the players have not yet gelled' ' the atmosphere of the bench is toxic'. Take what you will of those comments but something is not right and whilst I appreicate you are an 'Owers' fan, there appears to be an inherent problem with this management team. Owers has already used his 'get out of jail' card, so unless he turns it quickly around in the next few games he will be exposed for what he is - a mediocre NLS manager.

Sorry, I did not pay attention! there was not enough room in the dug-out for him, so for the match Owers was on the touchline sat on a bucket.

There should be no defence of Reid. He was atrocious bar one pass in the second half. The Non League Paper obviously just make the numbers up as and when they see fit, unless it was a typo and they missed the 'minus' symbol off.

The bloke couldn't even be arsed to applaud those poor deluded souls who chanted his name as he left the field when rightly substituted. Trust me, Mr Reid, those chants will soon die out along with your career as a so-called professional footballer.

The 'boos' that rang out after the final whistle summed up another shite afternoon of dross.
