Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Is this the most boring summer ever ?

It aint over yet. Best June and July for a great number of years and I've been lapping it up - beach most days, in my garden most days, motorbiking most days. It's what living in Torquay is all about.

If the weather stays like this, I won't be into the football season until October.
