Much better performance than recent home games, I actually enjoyed a game at Plainmoor for a change. Still can't win which is of concern.

Others will have more to say, but although not the result we needed, we were excellent tonight I thought.

Passing, creativity, intent, invention, confidence, movement all there. Plenty to work on, but they were all there - a huge improvement.

We were the better side, and should've won it. Benyon with a typical poachers finish but cancelled out by the penalty.

O'Connor, Cruise, Craig, Chapell (could've won it when he hit the bar), Benyon all absolutely sublime. Downes was shaky, Mozika had a bit of a 'mare, but I thought Marquis looked handy and got in the right places.

Plymouth were poor and we missed a good chance to put them away, but if we beat Scunny on Saturday, we're on the right track.

After being scathing about recent performances I am pleased to come on tonight and say we played really well, a much improved performance for longer periods and plenty of good football to admire and plenty of positives to encourage and take forward.

Obviously one draw doesn't make everything rosy all of a sudden but we should definitely take the positives from tonight of which there are many, Marquis looks like an excellent acquisition, Mozika showed signs of what he might be capable of, Craig's delivery was constantly menacing, Chapell excited from the very start.

it is important that we build on this performance with another good display on Saturday, a draw hasn't done us any favours with regards to the table after all, but we can go there in a really confident frame of mind after dominating for long periods and creating plenty of good chances.

I thought we were unlucky not be in the lead at half time, whereas Argyle shaded the second half so all in all a draw is probably fair. It was a really enjoyable match to watch from start to finish so well done to the players, to Alan Knill, and for the fans too for getting a bit of noise going.

Not going to make any bold claims about the start of something great, or of long unbeaten runs, just want to emphasise there were A LOT of good things to discuss about tonight so lets try and get some positive energy going after there being so much negativity of late (of which I am equally as guilty of entertaining)

Final word saves for our player of the season so far, Martin Rice, Save of the season tonight. It was top drawer!

Fair(ish) result, thought we were a bit better but not much. Didn't look like a penalty from where I was sitting, it hit the hand from very close range so there wasn't an awful lot he could have done about it. Marquis looks useful, Benyon and Chapell had very good games but I thought Mozika was pretty hopeless. Some dubious decisions (including the penalty) didn't help our cause either.

Delighted with a point as it gives us something positive to take to Scunny (we know what happened the last time Knill went to one of his old clubs don't we?. It sounded like a better performance too so well done everyone.

Just got back from the Chesterfield v Northampton game and I believe it was Matt that said what a strange league this is. Well on the evidence of what I saw tonight he's bang on. Northampton aren't going down I can tell you that. I've seen 7 of our away games this season and one for Northampton but they played by far and away better than we have in 7 and better than we ever could hope to tonight yet they are bottom. Somehow. They have a team spirit and it showed, Boothroyd did the simple thing against Chesterfield, flood the middle like for like, press them and hound them and double up. It was hard work for them but they stopped Chesterfield playing, they cut off the supply lines and they did a right job on them. If they had a decent striker they would have come away with the points. Awesome performance tonight by the Cobblers and left me scratching my head completely.

So I've no doubt they will pick up soon as the signs are there.

I'm more worried about us now because there is a small gap developing and a loss at Scunny and other results going against us and it could be worse. I'm backing Northampton to win on Saturday too because the belief and confidence they will have got from tonights draw will spur them on.

Let's enjoy tonight and hope we can get a result on Saturday because I am even more worried now. Well done the lads anyway and it sounds like a real improved performance. We need to string 3 or 4 results together now like Accy have done.

Outrageous that we haven't won that by three or more. Not perfect, but vastly superior to anything Argyle could muster. Andy is right, this division is daft. They're miles above us and looked like they would struggle in the Conference. We were excellent. Craig, MoMo, Chapperz all three brilliant individually. Manse very good also. Some lovely football, getting it wide and getting it across.
Argyle penalty a joke. Offside in the build up, dive for the free kick and 'handball' from about 6 inches. Usual Roger East, absolutely desperate to help the oppo against us. Typical Argyle also, happy to fall over at every opportunity. Came for a draw, which should be embarrassing enough for them, but the way they went about getting it was cringe-worthy.

Matt.

Given the crazy predictions on here today (5-0,6-0 loss) etc, I'm ecstatic with a draw, and very happy that it seems that we have played a lot better than previously.

Whether that was simply due to the fact it was a derby, when form goes out the window, or whether it is a genuine "turning of the corner" will be revealed in due course.

I will be delighted to eat my words and apologise to Knill on here for doubting him....and hope that I do get that opportunity - because that will mean that we are out of the smelly stuff and, slowly, making our way up the league.

In the meantime I will enjoy this evening.

If Northampton can go to Chesterfield and make them look like amateurs then I now believe in anything. Scunny have had some ropey results this season yet they are in the play offs, like Matt said - it is looking like a freaking weird league.

I believe half of it is hard work and team spirit and if we display that on Saturday then we can get something out of it. Frustrate these teams away from home and the fans soon get on their backs.

Oh and about tonight, yes it's a positive but it's gone now and Saturday is all that matters.

Oh and by the way, the Northampton team coach has at least 2 bald tyres! Saw them tonight! I hope ours is ok, we don't want any accidents! :-/

Yep, much improved on the last two home games, effort and desire was there, come the end of the game thought we were the better team, Argyle were poor yet have 23pts, that's a concern.
