Stevens is unlikely to be played on muddy heavy pitches, so presumably he's training to get fit for the play-offs in the spring.. :-D

Don't knock Danny he's done well for the club and no doubt Chris Hargreaves thinks that he would do well as an impact player. Ask yourself how many players have we got that can make difference coming on to pinch a goal. :)

he did do well.
just like tim sills, wayne carlisle, chris todd et al. doesnt mean we need them back either.
as has been said before he couldnt even get a contract with the shots.

sorry but he and it is a non-starter for me.

Sad but true.
All I see here is the new gaffer giving an old mate the chance to train with a professional team and therefore give him every help possible to find another club to play for.

If he was still fit etc, I'd take Wayne Carlisle back in an instant.

Arguably one of the better wingers we have had in recent times

I was more excited than anyone in the summer when I picked up a team sheet and saw the name Scotty Renderz among our starting XI. I'd followed his progress since leaving us and he'd scored goals. I liked him when he was here before and I thought he'd come in and do his thing for us. Sadly it was a case of 'never meet your heroes' and he was comfortably outclassed by a defence rated as favourites for the drop from the Conference. Alright, I did think Salisbury looked good that day and he did injure himself, but by Christ, he was crap.

Stevens, well, enough has been said already.

This was my only concern with Jesus as manager. Would he be able to resist the urge to turn it into a jolly boys reunion? It seems the answer is no.

For his faults, Knill was a ruthless bastard who was most unafraid to scrap dead wood. If these two really are the future of the club, then I'm afraid my confidence in Chris might just be waning ever so slightly.

Of course, if Danny and Rendell come in, tear up the division and end up at Man Utd, then all will be well and I'll accept that Jesus knew something I didn't, but right now, I can't see that happening.

Matt.
