Wonder if O'Driscoll will come back in with Forest. Hope not.

Eunan is good but nowhere near good enough for a club the size and stature of Forest. At least not yet anyway, O'Driscoll may go for him with an eye on the future though, especially as he is a manager who likes to play it around on the deck.

I wondered this myself. It would actually be a great move for O'Kane and one I would sort of be happy with for him. I never thought he should go to Crawley but if Forest came in for him you could utterly understand that it would be a move he should make.

Agreed - just a shame that Lingy would have less scope to find a replacement. Cannot stand in the way if Forest come knocking though.

If Eunan felt he wasn't ready to play in league above, he's not going to go two leagues above.

He never said he was not ready - just that the circumstances surrounding the Crawley offer was not right for him.

Or maybe he didn't think he'd get on with O'Driscoll? Who knows.

Read into this what you will, but -

not long after I heard about O'Driscoll going to Forest, I tweeted this:
@chrisjballard wrote:I bet @eunan10 is feeling especially pleased at not having joined Crawley now. Manager leaves after just over 2 months..
and about 10 minute after, Eunan himself retweeted it.

Not sure there is anything to read into that other than he made the right decision?

Agreed Rich, all Eunan is saying is, I made the right decision, nothing worse for aplayer than to sign for anew club to play for the manager, and then that manager to up and leave before the first ball is kicked.

It is foolish to use the word never in football, however think a few points have been missed with this whole Forest thing, Eunan O'kane was a player that Crawley could afford and who would have improved their squad, O'Kane would have been a first choice player at Crawley playing at a higher level.

Sean O'Drisoll has gone to Notts Forest where he now has 10 times the player budget and 10 times the expectation, O'Driscoll will now be looking for players who can deliver promotion to premier league with in 2 seasons, maybe first time of asking becaus ehe knows he will be out of a job if he does not get Forest up quickly..

Therefore its highly likely that O'Kane is no longer on O'Drisoll's radar, and if he is , O'Drisoll will only be looking at O'Kane as a development player, can't see him ending up a Forest player.

Sky have just reported we've had a bid accepted from an anonymous League 1 club.... (https://x.com/SkySportsPeteO" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;-)

Be interesting to see who we replace him with

He hasn't appeared at all in the friendly tonight either whereas pretty much everyone else has.
