There were things which happened on the pitch on Saturday during the second half that I would not have accepted at my 5 a side team. I never shout at a player having a poor game, but Saturday second half was not a few poor games. It was utterly pathetic. Shouting at the team may not help, but we did have a few decent renditions of Yellow Army etc second half, which considering the performance, was more than the players deserved, and that didnt help either.

Also, going back a few posts, the substitution farce over Easton and Lathrope wasnt personal, it was that fans were baffled that at 2-0 down, we were going to swap a defensive midfielder for a defensive midfielder.

Agreed, Kernow.

And on that substitution farce, forgot to say earlier, it was not halted because of any fan reaction, it was halted because it was only then that the bench were signalled to say Oastler was struggling and may need to come off.

Re: Easton for Lathrope, no it may not have been the most exciting of changes, but with Damon on a yellow card and in 'headless chicken' mode, it appeared to me to only be a matter of time before he got his marching orders. Damon struggled to assert his normal composed passing during the match and whilst Easton may not get you a goal, his distribution to the wide players, and to the forwards may well have been better than the scraps they were forced to feed off. It was just one of those days, but booing anyone onto the field is disgraceful. Easton is an honest pro, having a disjointed season thus far but has shown real glimpses of class at times, we don't know what opinion he might have to that reaction but it could have a negative effect not only on him, but to the rest of the team too. Some fans might not see it as a big deal and that players should have thick skin, but as a proud fan this sort of thing really bothers me.

No arguing with any of the individual errors anyone has brought up, we simply were not at the races on Saturday, as poor as we've been all season. It's funny though, we get a consolation goal we scarcely deserve and then Manse spurns a good chance to equalise; if we leave the game with a 2-2, would our opinion of the performance change and would we be bigging up a 'never say die' attitude?

Oh and Andy, I can confirm you are a perfect gentleman at every match I have had the pleasure to stand next to you at. In fact folks, just ask him to buy you a burger and a cup of tea, he never ever says no. What a man!

I went into Burger king later on and asked if there were any horseburgers left. I said I would only have one if they gave a free bag of Hay. in a nosebag.!
