I still wouldn't be at all surprised if he left, even though he states clearly that he hasn't refused a contract. Could just be that he hasn't had one offered yet!

No it doesn't, it clearly says "No contact has been refused"
Open to offers?

Not sure how this rumour started, even Whitfield has denied it on his twitter account, contracts and wages for next season will be dependent on which league we are in next season. It is understandable that their are rumours about our better players but it could do with being put on the back burner until after Sunday..
It was reported in the Swindon Advertiser by Jonathan Leighfield. They have since published Bens reply.

Thank you Lucas Covalon for all you did for the club, best wishes for the future.
Now this has put a spanner in my thinking, that to save money we could go with one main keeper next season in Lucas. Releasing Shaun McDonald and have a young back up keeper and use a loan signing to cover injury.
Time will tell.

Its a shame about Covolan, mind you there were times early season when I preferred Mcdonald(what am I saying), but latterly he was defo number one by a country mile. He will not be the only one, I reckon Whitfield, Evans, Cameron will quickly follow suit and I would not be surprised if we do not receive money bids for Lewis and Hall.

Wonder if we’ll see the return of Jamie Reid & Frank Vincent this season.
How ,much did we get for covolan ? That money needs to be spent on a new keeper . I think we may see alot of our best players going tbh.
