That depends if he's in it for career advancement or money Nick if the rumour that Crawley is sniffing around him is to be believed.

Indeed, I keep seeing that. Wouldn't surprise me but I'm hoping some of these players see past the money..

I'm still sticking with my original guess of Reuben Reid - a few things would seem to fit into place (locality, possibly mates with Zebs), mainly that his star has waned a little in the last 2 seasons and he's a little "off-the-radar".
I love this time of year, speculating who may or may not end up tempting the Gulls. As some others have said, I'm not too fussed if we keep Tomlin and Robinson. Both very good players if the mood takes them, but I can't say I've really seen anything that we couldn't get from a young player released from a Premier League/Championship reserve side. Sure, they bring experience, but with experience comes a price.

I like the sound of Reid too Jeff but I wouldn't say he's off the radar as such. His release has been discussed on the Rovers and Hereford forum.
Also I agree with you in regards to Robinson and Tomlin.

Chances of Muzzy coming back are somewhere south of zero.
Benyon apparently was trying to tout himself to us, and strange Shane should mention £10,000 because that seems to be what Swindon want for him. No thanks - we have better and can do better.
Reid would be great, figure someone will sign him by the end of next week and we'll still be actively trying to improve our league status.
Akinde, great if we could pay someone north of £3,000 per week.
Fuseini, of all the players mentioned so far, would be my own personal favourite - was wasted at Lincoln last season and would be a perfect midfield complement to Stanley, should he sign.
Sadly, we are going to have to be realistic. Many of the names mentioned already will be way outside our budget, which I can see being tiny.

Seriously? When was he 'touting himself to us' Andy? Any club in the bottom two divisions - certainly in League 2, should be interested in him at that price. And i include us in that. I'm not convinved we have better, but we probably shouldn't have that argument again! :~D

I'd have him back here for 10k, even if it's just so Fonda and myself can argue his merits under a different manager

I'd be delighted if that transpired Dave! =D
Perhaps he'll be of interest to Rovers though... =Z

Do you really think that Danny Wilson would make the same mistake twice? :na:

CP, I wouldn't really call it a 'mistake' by Wilson. He only lasted about a week after Benyon joined. Benyon has come out saying that Hart gave him no confidence recently, hence why he hasn't done very well.

Paul Hart didn't rate him at all, Elliot reckons his confidence has gone.
Probably just transpires he went to the wrong club at the wrong time.
Still reckon he is a decent League 2 striker, but not sure I'd want him back given our current tactical formation. Our style of play has been so much better and more fluid since he went.

Do you not think we were playing that way because that's all we had at the time? I have no doubt at all that a front 4 such as...
Robinson Benyon Kee Zebs
could be potent. Two attacking wide players with decent delivery, a striker to drop off and make things happen and a fox in the box.
