Ian Sharps and David Raven are now both expected to be fit to play tomorrow night.

Right - enough of the nonsense about whether Bucks is or isn't going, or whether the board want us to go up or not......can we ALL focus on tomorrow.

We are 90 minutes away from a massive, massive game at Old Trafford.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!!

Sharps hopefully not 100%. from your OS

'Team News
David Raven is now fit to play. Ian Sharps has been to London to see a specialist who is hopeful that Ian will make the game, although Ian faces a late fitness test.'

Oh well, we'll just have to get a Sharps and try and test him for pace. See if that groin/hamstring/thigh holds up.

I'm more bothered that Raven is back in, as that'll be at the expense of Grandison I assume. A Raven-Sharps-Sheriff-Sadler back 4 is about as formidable as it gets at this level IMO, so we'd do well to breach that. Which will leave everything down to our defence.

I'm really starting to get butterflies now!

Not massively fussed about their defence, a clean sheet is no good to them, it's goals they need, an unfeasibly large number of them.

Matt.

We conceded 3 in our last away game. Against a far inferior side to Shrewsbury. We might very well need a goal to put this tie to bed, and with Sharps and Raven playing, it's now harder than it might have been.

Personally don't think it'll make too much difference with a half fit Sharps playing. He doesn't have much pace on him anymore (I don't know if he ever did?) and against Tomlin/Zebs/Robinson, it'll be hard for him. Raven too seems to have been rushed back for this one, surprising in my opinion, but didn't he score the own goal at Plainmoor in the 5-0?

Another performance like we had at the Meadow in October and we'll be fine, I think.

Raven and Sharps back is good news, as long as they're not rushed back and actually are fit, it gives us our first choice back four that kept 5 successive clean sheets in the last 5 games of the regular season. Sharps in particular is a good ball player aswell, so should help our overall football, attacking and defensivly.
Safe trip to all those that travel up here tomorrow, credit to you, hoping for a cracking game. Hopefully whoever qualifies deserves it over the 180, or 210 minutes :scarf:

err....just 2, and then we'll do you on pens! Yr right tho, we need goals, but im more worried about conceding them at the other end, I can see it ending 2-2 on the night but here's hoping im wrong.

Win, lose or draw tomorrow night, its been a great season and despite the prize at stake, and the agony of missing out, whatever the score tomorrow, i'll dof me cap to both teams regardless of the result. Old Trafford will be an amazing experience but If it cant be us, knowing a good little club like Torquay have a shot at it will make it easier to take. :-D

Right, end of the Shrews-Gulls love in for now...C'mon you Blues!!

Err.... You've had 270 minutes this season and managed a solitary score. Equally, we won our last penalty shootout 3-0 and our keeper has saved more penners than he has let in this season.

Matt.
