austrianandygull wrote:Anyone know if there are any tickets still available for this? Given our recent good form i expect they will sell out quickly come monday. If i can get a ticket i plan to get down on the train for the game. Anyone know the nearest place to stay overnight nearest the ground that has a certain degree of decorum? I am not local to Torquay and not from the area so if any fans could recommend any accommodation nearest the ground that isn't run by an obsessive, cantankerous old lady or next to a mass local chav hangout then it would be very much appreciated.
Not the best person to answer this but you could always try the Travelodge on the seafront, just for the night..

Cheers Nick. I'll look into it.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Call me sad, but I've stayed there and it's not cheap. You'll be looking at around £75 minimum.
Lastminute.com or Booking.com are my best friends for hotels, of course if that fails Google is there.

The seafront one (the Belgrave?) is a Premier Inn and as Louis says a bit pricey. Theres a travelodge near Torre station or one in Paignton near the Redcliffe that are a bit cheaper (50 something against 70 something).

Speak to Garry. This Hotel/B & B is owned by him and his wife, Debs. Gazza is a TUFC supporter and goes to most home games. He stands with me on the Pop side. Nice guy. Nice Hotel. Phone no. is 01803 293016. Hope it helps.

hey andy.

i'll be heading down from London and staying overnight in the premier inn down on the seafront. not the closest to the ground of course, but that's where we usually stay. nice bar, beefeater on the side for some grub, works for me !! had a result this time, as we booked it ages ago and got it for £39, but i guess last minute will be near double that.
