It's been mentioned elsewhere that Argyle fans who gain admission to the Popside should be ejected from the ground. Why's that then ? They will have paid their money like everyone else and are entitled to watch the match. As long as they don't congregate down the Boots&Laces end I'll be happy.
Hopefully, they will be directed down to the end of the Pop next to the away end.
Even if I get in the ground really early to claim my spot, there'll still be an Argyle fan in my favourite place (the naughty step). No point in arguing whose spot it is, we'll just have to stand there and share it.

Ground Regulations state that Away fans are not permitted in the Home Areas, take their money and throw them out I say.

Who determines the Ground Regulations? Why should there be any home areas? Who decides whether or not you are an away fan? What if I support both teams? What about my human rights? Is democracy a big fraud? Can my cat get in for free?

Where does that leave your honoured guests Chris Webb and Ian Newell ?

In the away end I expect. They won't be my guests until the next GGG meeting

I knew you were bit of a lad, but I never had you down as hopping on a plane to Germany to attend John Thompson parties.

Ariffmetic (like engleesh) weren't my best subject at skool. But as I was there at that game in 1972, I know it wasn't TWENTY NINE EFFIN YEARS AGO !
Really Trojan. You actually went to School! Well I never did. And there's me thinking you were born on the naughty step

POTM?
Let 'em in. Being an 'away' supporter is not cut and dry. If I go as a neutral to Forest Green Rovers v Lincoln, stand in the home end but applaud when Lincoln score, am I am 'away' fan?
If no one knows you're an Argyle fan, then you're not an Argyle fan, the truth is often what is believed by others, rather than the facts beknown only to God.

Having been only 20 the last time we beat Argyle in the league and now rapidly approaching my 60th birthday I am really looking forward to this one. 1-0 would do for me but I am hoping for a win of such magnitude that memories of that 0-6 reverse at Home Park on Boxing Day 1969 and that 0-4 home defeat in March 2000 are extinguished forever.
I will be travelling with a fellow Torquay supporter and an Argyle season ticket holder who has an Away End ticket. Does anybody know if Argyle fans will be allowed in Boots and Laces before the game?
If not I suppose it's the Union with the Gashead landlord!

i'm sure we've all been in grounds when away supporters got themselves in the home sections, and it's caused huge problems. i've seen it many times. But of course, you'll also get those who will sit there and just watch the game, and not "react" in a way that makes them stand out as an away supporter. as some of you will probably recall, i was with TUFC club officials at the bristol rovers game, and celebrated the goals quite reservedly, and generally respected the fact i was amongst rovers supporters. it didn't stop one of them threatening to "f**kin' whack me" after the game tho, and there will always be that possibility, more so for a local derby, and as such, keeping opposing fans apart tomorrow is quite right in my opinion. if there are any incidents, TUFC will get a rocket for allowing it to happen, knowing what the FA are like.

The Police were heavily criticised for not foreseeing the trouble that occurred at the Argyle/Grecians JPT match and taking action to prevent it.
You can say that there isn't the same history between Gulls fans and Gargs fans but it only takes a small minority of their lot who get in our end to kick-off and cause relative mayhem-particularly if we score or there's a controversial decision .
Better to take preventive action before the game by getting the message out that any away fan found in the home end will be ejected.
The Crawley fans in the Family stand who celebrated wildly when they scored were deliberately provocative and got chucked out-rightly in my view.
We all know there's a world of difference between an away fan sat quietly in the family stand with his kids and a gang of lads who regard it as a badge of honour to get in the home end and taunt the home fans.
The police and stewards will hopefully recognise the difference and just take firm action with the trouble-makers.
There will surely be police from Plymouth situated near the turnstiles to spot known trouble-makers and in the crowd control-box to do the same.
We all want to be able to sit-down or stand-up to watch an exciting local derby and not be constantly distracted by muppets trying to spoil it.
So lets hope common-sense prevails and the police/stewards have the nous to take appropriate action and not penalise the vast majority who support their team in the right way.

I agree with all of this, how ever, i don't think the stewards will give a dam about any argyle fans, every home game they always look for some one to chuck out for the smallest things. so with it being a local derby, i'm gonna take a wild guess and say they're going to be even more up for kicking a few torquay fans out of plainmoor

They'll probably take a point from our total, despite having no precedent for doing so.

For the record, I want my club to give the other club a right good hiding and the same on January 2nd.
I hope this clarifies the matter .
