Oh come on Guys. You all know there is only one candidate that has ever been in the frame for Engurland manager. his credentials are way way bigger than everyone elses. (His big one though is thankfully hidden most of the time).
He commanded the biggest ever fee paid for a footballer. Has experience of one of the worlds top clubs and likes a pint or twelve of cider. Hasn't ever been in the papers (that we know of at least) and is one you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.
He is tough as nails. able to withstand the worst of our weather. Hasn't got his head up his arse (yet at least) with the heady wages paid to prem pampered knobheads. Knows the lower leagues well too.
He commands respect from his piers. (well Brighton and Southend Speak highly of him)
His wit (well half of it anyway) and banter stands him out as a leader of note.

Yes folks. You have all guesses it. The one and only. Our very own.

SOUTHAMPTON GULL.

Oh come on. you couldn't really believe I was about to say Brucie were you.

Weston Super Mare pier will be most perturbed by its lack of inclusion! Especially from one who lives so close to it!

Hello all - first time poster, long time Torquay fan (and reader of this site and previous one's)

Was writing a piece on the next England manager for my day job and managed to squeeze in a bit at the end about duplicitous scumbag (unfortunately my editor made me remove that) Paul Buckle and Torquay's subsequent rise
http://professionalmanager.co.uk/debate ... ification/

Will try and get a few mentions of the mighty gull's in during future articles!

I'm not so sure that Redknapp is going to take the job and if i'm right that leaves Pearce in charge until a manager is found. I hope Buckle gets it and then i can continue to enjoy those regular entertaining nights watching England on telly embarrass themselves and being outplayed by minnows. It has brought me much mirth these last 20 years, even we ( Austria ) got a 2-2 draw in Wien in a qualifier and only went down 1-0 to a poxy Lampard penno in the return leg at Wembley where Roland Linz crashed one against the bar the last ten mins! The England job is a poisoned chalice so give it to Bucks!

Hey USA, it's purely tongue in cheek banter my friend. Didn't want to offend anyone. If England churn out amazing football and win Euro 2012 then there can be nothing but praise and admiration for their efforts, even from me. I just want to see teams who deserve success GET success and England have been a million miles from deserving even being paid in recent years. No offence USA, we are all staunchly patriotic i know and i honestly had no intention of annoying England fans.
