Can't bring a link matt, the Buryfreepress website appears to be crashing my internet, mathematically are they really getting a decent enough player? now using the Forever scale of all things bright and beautiful all creatures great and small.

Logan scored his first goal in 1998 meaning that his 85 goals came over 14 seasons= a massive 6 goals per season, his most profitable scoring run was between 2006-2012 scoring 52 goals for Weymouth and Exeter how many of those goals came while playing non-league football.

Of course I don't know this as fact, however the number of different people both who I know and posts made on the net suggesting he likes to prop the bar up these days should be a worry for any club, if true of course.

He now helps run the local Exeter City(Teignmouth college) development squad.

He was in the dug out for my game last week!

According to this news story, Logan is likely to be training with us in a couple of weeks time. Not sure how I feel about this, he would presumably be a cheap(ish) option but is clearly struggling to find another club after his brief, unsuccessful spell at Wycombe and now his release by Dorchester Town after failing to score in 6 appearances. That said, no harm in having a look I suppose. I wonder if the decision to hook up with Bury Town and delay his trial here is perhaps his own choice in order to give himself a bit of time to sharpen up before his trial here - which could well represent his last shot at League football, I suppose.

Fits the 'big option' that Ling is looking for. I don't think I'd be against it considering he scored a handful at the league above last season. If he thinks this is his last shot at professional football then you'd imagine he's going to work hard for it..

If this is better than we have (as Ling said he would only bring someone in who is better than we have) then be worried. Be very worried.

Understand what you're saying Rich. Considering we have no back up for Rene, however, I'd hope that Logan is better than nobody..

I would rather play Jarvis and Yeoman/Thompson/Bodin even Sullivan up top than Logan!

but that is just my opinion so (as many time before) I could be wrong!

It's a different type of role though. The players you list are all of a poacher kin, whilst Howe and Logan would be more target man. We've tried (and failed) with Jarvis in that role, so I personally see no harm in having a look at Logan, at least.

We have tried Jarvis in that role alone but not with a partner. We might have to play a lot less direct but IMO we would have a better chance with Jarvis and another than with Logan in the Rene role.

Yes, but the article confirming he has just signed for them suggests he may only play a couple of games with them as he has the offer to train with TUFC at the end of the month.

The article also confirms he was recently released by Blue Square Bet South outfit Dorchester Town :O
