Japan MPs approve controversial secrets law:
Japan's parliament has approved a state secrets law that imposes penalties of up to 10 years in jail for leaks by government officials, AP reported. Penalties would also apply to journalists who seek such information, who could be jailed for up to five years. The full upper house approved the bill Friday by 130 to 82, after the more powerful lower house had approved the bill last week. The sheer volume of inefficient and unethical changes to social security the Government has enacted means some of it doesn’t even get noticed. So here’s five benefit changes the government doesn’t want you to know about:
1. Disabled people denied a key benefit have had their right to appeal reduced
2. Long-term sick people are having their benefits sanctioned ... for being sick
3. 50,000 disabled people are being cut out of work
4. There’s now a one-year limit on hundreds of thousands of people’s sickness benefit
5. Eviction letters are now including veiled threats to remove people’s children

2014 prediction: Britain will be bankrupt in 2014. Dramatic and sudden collapse of economy following interest rate increases. Massive bailout required with stringent conditions attached; worse than Greece. Tax rises, benefits and pensions cuts, credit controls, severe restrictions on bank withdrawals, hyper-inflation, food shortages, riots in the streets.. General Election will be announced, which will be won by UKIP, who will cause an international crisis by taking the UK out of the EU, who will make threats of dire consequences, including military intervention..

British military commanders have warned that the Taliban will quickly retake hard-won areas of Afghanistan when UK troops leave later this year. In other words, Britain's Afghanistan adventure will have been a complete waste of lives, time and money in an unnecessary war against an almost non-existent (unless you believe US propaganda) terrorism..

They're an Islamic fundamentalist political and insurgency movement:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliban They're a brutal, nasty, undemocratic organisation. But the USA did not declare war on the Taliban, nor on Afghanistan. The USA and the UK invaded Afghanistan on the pretext of fighting a war against global terrorism..
