1. TUFC 8 Newport County 3. The game where Robin Stubbs came into his own - as King of Torquay for ever.
2. TUFC 3 Bury 0. When we were on match of the day, and when we all realised what a great player John Smith was.
3. TUFC 3 Spurs 3. Everything has already been said.
4. TUFC 5 Workington 1. The first flowering of the greatest attacking partnership in United's history: Stubbsy and Big Fry.
5. TUFC 5 Chester 0. Just look at the scorers! (Stubbs, Pym, Jenkins, Northcott). (Why everything is so bad today).
6. TUFC 2 Middlesbrough 1. Imagine that as a league result today; well, that's what it was then.
7. TUFC 2 Bristol Rovers 0. Attendance : 11,707. Yes, you read that right! (and it wasn't uncommon). Now everyone thinks it's great to get 2000.
8. Aston Villa 0 TUFC 1. Yes, another league result folks! (Att: 28,112).
9. TUFC 2 Notts County 0. Promotion almost there!
THE REST IS SILENCE

I do wonder what part of "SEND THE LISTS VIA PM" people are struggling to understand?!

I thought I had made it clear, Scott!
Also, Wivel, can you PM me that but also the dates of the games - I have no idea where to start with any of those. Thanks.

A strange question perhaps but I'd appreciate any help that can be provided. I've only ever seen Torquay win once at Plainmoor and I'm sure it was against Rushden & Diamonds in August 2005. I seem to remember it being 3-2. I can't find any record of the two teams meeting around this time however. Does anyone find what I've just described familiar?
We beat Rushden 3-2 at Plainmoor in August 2007, in the Conference.
And one more please, Wivel. Thank you Stefano!

Are we allowed to send in less than 10? I can only think of, probably, five that stick in the memory

I' m trying to narrow mine down to 10 from a long short list of 25, so can I use your other 5?Scott Brehaut wrote:Are we allowed to send in less than 10? I can only think of, probably, five that stick in the memory
Ideally a list of 10, but if you're really struggling then don't worry.
Pleased with the early interest levels in this thread - here's hoping you all enjoy it as much as the last!

I'm afraid I don't know what 'PM' means.
Added in 2 minutes 15 seconds:
As for one more, well, I shall come right up to date and say:
TUFC 5 Scarborough 1 (Play-off semi final 2nd leg). I think that was the score, but it might have been 4-1 or 5-0. Comment: Rodney Jack's apotheosis.
Again, I don't know what 'PM' is, so this will have to do.
