I will be there. Going to go down and enjoy the weekend staying with an old friend, and any enjoyment from the football will be a bonus. A chance to see the new management and players in action if nothing else.

Whew! Difficult one to call now. The main problem remains though: the players aren't good enough. So can Owers/Kuhl inspire them to a win?
I think perhaps they can. Thus:

Barrow (1) 1
Torquay United (1) 2

Att: 1006.

Got 0-0 all over it. We are dreadful and don't look like ever scoring.

Well your in for a treat on Saturday. You state your dreadful, we are shambolic. Easiest 3 points you will get this season. 4-1 barrow

Possible miraculous injury recoveries in the next few days. Gowling won't want to miss the first match for the new gaffer if he can help it, either. Terrified of Kuhl's reaction to defeat, I reckon our hitherto sorry lot might sneak a win on Saturday.

I agree with wivel.

Mr Rjc70 is showing considerable sense.

I would concur with a few 'miraculous' injury recoveries. I reckon we'll win this one, maybe 2 or 3 to 1 (being 1-0 down at half time and the players receiving their first proper bollocking as a Torquay United player).

As has been mentioned I think that Gowling will be eager to make a start for the new management team, along with possibly a few others and no doubt all the players wanting to make a good impression.

So I am going to go for

Barrow (0) 0
TUFC (1) 1

COYY

I reckon 2-1 in our favour as some players try desperately to justify their jobs to the new management team.

Provided the new coach doesn't try to change too much too quickly, and he is on record as saying he won't' then I think the impetus of trying to impress the new regime will help considerably and we may just may scrape a draw. No indication of any new arrivals to strengthen the squad despite references to this by Owers.
