Bucks will be gutted. If he hadn't just got a new job i'm certain Al Fayed would have been on the phone to him.hector wrote:Utterly bizarre and of course it won't happen but Paul Trollope is 33/1 for the Fulham job.

Coincidence that we are in the market at the same time as Hughes quitting his job at Fulham?

Crumbs. According to the Herald, we're looking to draw up a short-list 'within the next few days'. And the board are mindful we have to act 'fairly quickly'. I wasn t overly concerned about the speed things were moving at, but those quotes sound almost casual. If the short-list is drawn up over the weekend, interviews next week. We might have a manager announced by this time next week? Ready to start work the following Monday? It s a good job no other clubs are doing business already…

Why have they got just a few days too think of a list of people they think will be good for the job? They have known Bucks has been going for weeks 8/ The only thing they wont have known is who would apply when he had actually left.Fonda wrote:Crumbs. I understand that they had to wait to see who applied before compiling a short-list, but once that's done we need some urgency. Sort the candidates today, interviews over the weekend if need be, get the decision made Monday.

Exactly. And I think the players are starting to share the frustration of the fans. Lee Mansell tweeted on twitter this morning that he wished it would hurry up and get sorted out.dazgull wrote: Why have they got just a few days too think of a list of people they think will be good for the job? The board have known for ages. Surely they could have been making tentative enquires to possible managers. It has been a pretty open secret that Buckle was going so they are bound to have been people sniffing around the job.
Meanwhile, every other club in the division is getting what will be more than a months head start on us. Very disappointed with the boards inertia.

I don't think Gerard Houllier will be interested-his heart wouldn't be in it.

Someone in the know or just someone you were passing in the street?
Not much of a story if it's the latter!

Latest on Forster here ... it seems we have at least spoken to him which is something I suppose! I imagine Hayes & Yeading would be pretty keen to snap him up though so may not want to wait around for us
