Hargreaves is now first team coach at a championship side. Therfore his credentials come better than the likes of Wes Saunders,Paul Compton,Harrop or Kevin Hill or indeed anymore of the ridiculous names banded about about on here.

Torquay United fans have literally gone mental! Martin Ling, Paul Buckle, Di Canio, Ray Parlour!? Has everyone lost the plot or is it an inside joke that I haven't got?

Having said that, rumour has it that Fabio Capello has been in talks with us for manager alongside Percy Pig and Tinkerbell as joint assistant manager.

Stop being silly Danny, there's no way Percy and Tinkerbell will work together after the scandal in the papers about her eating his pork scratching.

Chris Hargreaves.

Young, passionate, motivator, loves the club, wants to make his name, knows the game and the players.

My first choice. I do not want a has been!!

It will be a brave choice by the Board but a good and popular choice.

What fun to play guess the manager again...
We seem to have overlooked Tommy Brown and Syd Preston!

Lubos Kubik has a bit more experience than the last time we came in for him. Is he still on USA's coaching staff or did Klinsmann replace him? Compensation to US Soccer Federation might be a stumbling block.

Is Glenn Hoddle available?
Only downside - There will be no practicing penalties...

We'd never be able to afford Eileen Drewery as his assistant, so we can probably rule it out.

Thankfully they waited with the announcement until Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was picked up by Cardiff :)

I'll ask him if he's interested after he cleans my windows next week!(I'm being serious).

Martin Allen or Paul Sturrock would be my choices, no time (or money probably) to take a chance on an unproven manager.

Interestingly Sturrock is odds on with a couple of bookies.
